Mine doesn't reduce the ping and everything from my internet provider is normal. I'm from Brazil, and I've never faced lag or DC this way.

I have exactly the same problem as everyone else. Extreme rubberbanding, and bad lag.
I'm connected from EU to NA server and I never had such annoying problems. I play on PS5, I'm from Germany and my internet provider is Telekom. My connection is wired and stable, I don't have the problem with any other game.
I already wrote a mail to the Telekom support, but I didn't get any response.
The weird thing is I only experience the problem when I'm on my main, or any other alt on NA servers (Aether/Faerie), if I play on my alt on EU, everything seems fine.
It's just really frustrating because it's out of my hand, and not gonna lie it's destroying my hype for Dawntrail, I preordered it, but now I don't even know if I'll be able to enjoy the story on early access.
I just really hope the problem gets resolved soon.
Yes i have checked an EU alt and i dont have this issue when playing on EU. I get that we are supposed to play to the closest datacenter, but i have all of my friends on NA and i was able to play this game for more than 6 years with no issue. If i was able to play the game on NA for years i should be able to play now as well. Please square help us fix this.

- Type of connection (wired or wireless): Wired, other online games functioning normally
- Has this been a long on-going issue or has this only been occurring very recently: Approximately since June 6th, although I have noticed it being considerably worse since ~June 13th.
- Frequency at which error occurs (If this occurs during specific hours, please provide the date(s), time and timezone): Nearly the entire day since maintenance, worse since June 13th. I have noticed it improving late night/early mornings, typically around 4AM (GMT +2). By the time I log back in in the afternoon/evening, the lag has returned.
- Re-Confirm what data center and server/world were you trying to connect to: Primal (Exodus) and Aether (Siren and Gilgamesh)
- We would like to confirm if the game has been properly whitelisted through the systems anti-virus/firewall: No problems there
- What is the ISP and what region/country are you connecting from: Telekom, Germany
Seems there are some serious issues with the Telekom... please look into it, the game is essentially unplayable with this lag and playing on EU is not an option for me because I would like to play with my friends on NA... I hope I can enjoy DT when it releases. :/

Unfortunately the issue is getting worse for me now the launcher is barely loading and when i try to login it times out sometimes.
I have opened a ticket with square support. So far i have gotten back the generic try wired connection etc troubleshooting which i have already done and told them in my initial contact as well.
It would massively help to highlight the impact of this case so if possible please open a ticket with them as well and reference my ticket number 26072877.
The more tickets we have and the more they can cross reference, hopefully the higher priority this gets.

I've been seeing issues with getting into the PS5 launcher since this morning (Norway, ISP is Telia). It's much like this other reported issue, same error. My ISP had no insights to offer.
When I do get in, it's unplayably laggy, connecting to a NA datacenter (I'm on Balmung).
At least it's not just me. I've also logged a direct ticket with SE support, feel free to mention mine as well if you report the same: 26080806
Same here from Austria.
Since the 6th its barely playable, with rubber banding and packet loss.
I am directly connected Via Cable and my ISP is Magenta.
Can confirm I have been facing SEVERE packet loss recently. It's been so bad especially during my local evenings (GMT+8). I get 5-10s lagspikes and disconnections. The game is unplayable during the only timing I actually have any free time????? : | Other live service games seem just fine though.

VPN usually works, but today especially its not working. Issue seems to be all the first nodes for NTT after the hop from Europe to US
