    Game and input lag since 10/6/24 maintenance finished

    My connection with my own internet has been fine and stable, but now and then when trying to execute actions in my rotation, the abilities will not go off at all or execute the following action, skipping a step in the rotation and ending the combo. Sometimes there is rubber-banding with character movement.

    It got pretty bad at one point when executing mudras to hit the boss with suiton, the sound effect for raiton would happen but not actually execute the mudra and get the rabbit instead. It was the most bizarre experience I had. I do use an MMO mouse and I guess the game isn't able to catch all inputs and seems to read about half of them?

    This only started happening after the maintenance on monday and has been consistently like this since then.

    I can confirm that i have been also experiencing the same issue as NeonWindbreaker, but mine started roughly on the 6th June

    -No error messages
    -Wired Connection
    -Started on the 6th June and has been ongoing since
    -Daily but can't confirm if it's at specific times of day
    -Aether Data Center, Adamantoise Server
    -It has properly whitelisted and have no issue with firewall.
    -Virgin Media is my ISP and i'm connecting from the United Kingdom

    - No Error messages
    - Wireless (Router is in another room)
    - Been occurring since maintenance ended on the 10th
    - The lag/packet loss occurs consistently throughout game play but becomes more frequent in combat
    - Data Centre is Crystal and the server is Mateus
    - Final Fantasy XIV is whitelisted through my firewall
    -My ISP Rogers Communications Canada Inc in the Ontario/Toronto region

    I've made sure I was on my 5G wifi, did IP resets/renews, and a VPN though the issue seems to persist

    The same thing is happening to me, I just called the internet company I use, they remotely accessed my computer and said everything is fine with their internet service, I play on all data centers Aether-Siren, Crystal- Diabolos, Primal-Behemoth, Dynamis-Maduin. I can't even walk on any of the servers I log in. And it keeps disconnecting all the time, I've never had this problem and I've been playing with the same cable internet for 2 years. My ping for two years was never higher than 144. Siren - 204.2.29.70 , Diabolos - 204.2.29.100 , Behemoth - 204.2.29.87 , Maduin - 204.2.29.107. I can't play on any.

    Same here, I tried everything, resetting router, changing up settings, trying wired connection. My internet is stable and every other game is working fine.
    I play on Goblin/Crystal Data Center on PS5 - I tried other Data Centers and Servers, but the issue remains the same.

    I've had the same issue last year or so after maintenance, but it resolved itself after a couple of days and it wasn't this bad (right now, my game freezes for about 10 seconds now and then, skill input does not connect or gets reset in combat), other players' movements are staggering and they look like they are skipping from one position to another (in instance and out of instance).

    I'm in Germany and my internet provider is Telekom.

    I have the same issue as the original poster other charcters are rubber banding my skills apply with a lag as well. During boss fights the fight freezes then mechanics go off very fast when the game catches up. The issue also started to appear around the same time

    I have tried rebooting my router multiple times. Swap between wired and wireless. I also checked in with my isp thoroughly they have found no issues after several tests and my speedtests are also clean as well. I am able to play other online games without an issue and also my internet works properly with other applications.

    If possible please look into it as i would like to be able to play the game properly when early access releases.

    - Frequency at which error occurs (If this occurs during specific hours, please provide the date(s), time and timezone) Daily; doesn't seem to matter when I log in
    - Re-Confirm what data center and server/world were you trying to connect to: Crysta/Zalera, Aether/Jenova
    - We would like to confirm if the game has been properly whitelisted through the systems anti-virus/firewall: Yes
    - What is the ISP and what region/country are you connecting from: Telekom, Germany

    nothing else has any issues. Tracert shows high pings and packet loss as soon as it hits ntt servers.

    Update on the case

    Hi all,

    I talked to some friends and they also experience this issue. They advised to try my mobile net as it is from a different provider and my game works without an issue.

    I perused the forums for clues looking for other people experiencing this and the most common denominator at least for EU folks seem to be Telekom. It is possible that there is something in the routing between telekom and square's media which causes this issue. This is pretty much out of our hands as players then since this needs to be resolved between the companies themselves.

    @Moderator if possible please start an internal investigation regarding your routing issue with Telekom and all the other providers included in this thread.

    EDIT:I would like to second what the previous poster is saying my traceroutes shown the same exact issue:"Tracert shows high pings and packet loss as soon as it hits ntt servers."

    Can confirm that as soon as I connect to a VPN in my country, my ping goes down to 180ms. While still higher than normal, it makes the game playable, compared to the 250-300ms I had been getting the past two days.
