Stormblood did have issues. But a lot of that was because there was so much reptetition. Help rouse the ala mhigans to fight. Help rouse the pirates to stand up to the empire. Rouse the domans to stand up for the empire. Get the Xaela to come help you fight the empire.

Endwalker took you to three different nations on the Source, to the moon, the past and the edge of existence but it was better threaded into a single narrative.

It's possible that DT could have similar issues. But it's too early to really say for sure how well things will weave together. We are at least avoiding the problem of having the expansion's main city be disconnected from the main plot beyond being a pit stop between Eorzea and Doma.

I have a feeling though that they're going for an intentional duality here though. Mamool Ja Ja has two heads with different personalities. I suspect that Wuk Lamet and her brother will come together to rule as a pair instead of a single monarch, and with how much they keep pointing out how different Solution 9 looks, I'm sure that the contrast is completely intended and likely tying into the expansion's themes.
