    PCT Hammer Motif

    So after watching many media tour videos and I’m well aware that everything is subject to change. So why does the hammer motif take 3 buttons? I don’t get that. It seems kinda redundant. I understand using one button to paint it. Why can’t the second button be used to render/use. Just have it all on one button. Seems silly to have 1 button to paint, 1 button to render then 1 button to start the combo. I mean the creature one works that way. I hope they change that actually. I’m also not trying to dumb the job down. I just don’t see the point of 1 additional button to start the combo.

    Same reason why the landscape buttons only have one right now while beast motif has multiple sequences - it's a system built with futureproofing in mind. Also because preparing the draw can be done anytime even without charges, but using the hammer will consume the charges. Would be a tad difficult to display clearly otherwise.

    I think the draw/activate could be condensed/have the option to be one button

    Since you cannot draw another creature/hammer/landscape when you have one stocked, at least option would be nice. I personally do not mind and like more buttons but its a possibility

    im hoping that its done for future expansion updates, maybe if we get a different motif we can use those extra buttons to switch it mid combo (kinda how you seemingly can switch from st to aoe with the casting combo without breaking it.)

    Rendering the Hammer with Striking Muse has 2 charges, therefore you will never want it to cap its charges. If the only way to spend a charge was to immediately start the Hammer combo, you would be forced to use the combo within the confines of the 60s charge. This is not ideal because the Hammer combo is a movement tool as much as it is a damaging combo, being three instant casts. By having the charge tied to your Striking Muse ability, you can render the Hammer to spend a charge and still have an extra 30s to begin the combo, adding a lot of flexibility.

    But a simpler answer is that all renderings (Muses) are abilities which are off the global cooldown. They can't be made to use the same button space as paintings (Motifs) because paintings are spells on the global cooldown.
