PLD and DRK during Heavensward were like this: PLD was the physical damage tank, DRK was the magic damage tank. When raids leaned towards magic, PLD was.. eh... unfavored. Aside from block not affecting magic, lol-PLD was coined... and moving forward, it's always WAR + DRK. Also PLD has the lowest dps, even healers can outdps them..
