Please change release schedule for master recipes

Releasing the crafted gear the same day as expansion launch savage is obnoxious and encourages people to hoard a lot of resources in the vain hope they can cut down some of the rushed grinding for the gear they need, it feels way more intuitive to give time to allow people the proper time to prepare so the savage launch is all on it's own as a big moment for everyone to be ready for together like the delay in 6.2 and 6.4 allowed for.

WHOLEHEARTEDLY seconding this. As soon as they said 7.05 was when master recipes were releasing, my heart sank.

The devs said one of the major reasons why they added the delay in 6.2 and 6.4 was to make crafters’ lives easier. It’s kind of ridiculous that they aren’t implementing this same stagger for the tier that has delay BAKED INTO IT. After dealing with running myself ragged to make raid gear, food, and potions for myself and staticmates on the first day of a raid patch for seven years but then getting an entire WEEK to prep those items in 6.2…the thought of having to go back to dealing with that, even if it’s only one tier an expansion, is very upsetting.

Please, developers, release the master recipes in 7.01 instead!

The release of master recipes a week early was probably my favorite quality of life update this game has ever had. I am extremely disappointed to hear that players who'll be logging on for 7.05 are going to once again have to waste hours of release time to collect crafted gear instead of jumping right into the exciting new fights.

Please allow us the time to be able to prepare for Savage instead of making us scramble before being able to actually enjoy the content.

Releasing crafted gear on the same day as savage also has the unintended consequence of indirectly encouraging RMT. If crafted gear releases on the same day as savage, we all know it is going to be exorbitantly expensive. There are a large number players who don't have a lot of gil or a means of making gil themselves. Some of these players are going to raid savage on day 1 and some of those players are going to partake in RMT to be able to buy gear. I guarantee gil sales will skyrocket because of this.

Aside from this, it is wildly inconvenient for any player who wants to raid on day 1. I have all of my crafters and gatherers leveled and ready to make my own gear, but I will have that joy taken away from me if crafted gear releases alongside savage. I'm forced to make a choice between crafting and raiding with the time that I took off of work. That is a choice I do not want to make, and that feels really bad. Please stick to the same schedule that has been widely received as favorable by the community and release crafted gear one week before savage to allow your players to prepare appropriately.

Not releasing master recipes in 7.01 is going to make life hard for those of us who raid and omnicraft our own stuff.

In due time?.... The time shows that it's overdue.

Not being a Savage raider, this doesn't really affect me but certainly I can support your request even if I don't personally feel one way or the other.

I'm guessing they didn't like the effects on the marketboard (or possibly RMT related crafting activity) after the experiment this past expansion.

Hopefully the Legendary nodes will be available in advance to get the gathering done so you'll only have to worry about the crafting on release.

The legendary nodes do release on xpac drop, yeah — you can certainly accumulate a nice stock of materials, but it still would be so much better for everyone if crafters could also get to work ahead of time, too.

More time to craft makes the gear and consumables way more accessible to way more people. From personal experience, I spent that week between the normal and savage releases of Abyssos and Anabaesios not only making gear for myself and members of my raid team, but even for a ton of my casual friends, all without having to be chained to my desk for several consecutive hours on a day that I knew I was going to have to prog new content. A lot of them aren’t very flush with gil, either, so I liked being able to have that extra time to help them save their money. Losing the opportunity to do that is really disheartening, not just for me but for them, too.

Thoroughly agree, a major point of the delay introduced in the 6.2 and 6.4 updates was to allow for players to have time to complete normal mode raids without the pressure of choosing between enjoying the story at a leisurely pace or raiding in savage on release. Crafting releasing early also let players leisurely prepare, sell, and purchase their gear, instead of having to burn themselves out in a mad dash to acquire the crafted gear. Now, players are pressured to make a hard choice once again, for no reason at all- they can either spend their time crafting their gear to either sell or use, or they can raid in savage, but you cannot do both at the same time. It seems like a really out of touch decision to go backwards on one of the best quality of life changes the dev team has made recently.

I like it since it gives value to having crafters involved w/ world prog again, rather than reverting back to the view of crafting as a downtime subjob

I feel like they really don't care about banning RMT/botters at all unless it's by "professionals" (cn/vn), but they have to maintain their official stance.
There's so many botted consumables and players you can see regularly just afk crafting 24/7, or using the market plugins to autoupdate retainers that it's wholly frustrating to engage with the high end market outside of this initial raid launch, so it's nice being included in that initial excitement again.
That is, it's frustrating that SE tacitly allows the market to be overrun by plugin users that the only time endgame crafting really feels exciting is in this day1-week1 period and events like the Ishgard restoration.

It only takes me about 4-5 hours to fully craft the raid team's set, w/ the rest of the time going into melding & consumables.
Having even a day's headstart means they don't need dedicated crafters anymore and keeping crafters on staff becomes more of a social assistance exercise than a necessity.

In the worst case, it takes people 1-2 more days to craft their gear and clear content 1 day later. 1 Day of more content, until 7.1 release
