It does make one wonder what the final zone is going to be, though. As usual, they've only revealed the first 5 of the 6 zones plus the two hubs.

I wonder if this has something to do with PR, because the reveal of Solution 9 suddenly spiked many people's interests that were otherwise dulled by a 'vacation episode expansion'.

Maybe it could have been toned down immensely while keeping the same effect, but then they wouldn't have a lot to show in the LL/Keynotes.

To be fair, I feel they sorta HAD to provide a 'hook' of some description since it doesn't benefit from being a continuation of a long-running storyline.

It's absolutely the case. They needed to reassure people that an actual story was to be found beyond the initial "vacation" premise.
