PS5 controller on PC acting like a mouse

Out of the blue, My PS5 controller will act like a mouse cursor while the buttons also act if I am clicking with a mouse. I tried updating my PS5 controller through a firmware update also I tried connecting an Xbox controller to my PC, I've tried switching to different ports, I tried calibrating in the systems menu and character configurations but the problem still persist. Please help

Do you have Steam open? Either disable Steam input or exit Steam completely. It will override controls whether you play via Steam or not.

Steam is disabled and still the problem persist

Are you in the virtual mouse mode? There's a couple of buttons that you can accidentally press together to cause the virtual mouse mode... make sure youre not in it. It will say it at the top of the screen.


In Final Fantasy XIV, you can enable or disable virtual mouse mode using the following controls:
Windows: LB+Right Thumb-click
PS5/PS4: L1+R3
Xbox Series X|S: LB+Right Thumb-click

Virtual mouse is not on. I made sure L1 and R3 were not clicked together

I went ahead and disabled Steam PS5 controller support twice for now it seems it works. Thanks for the help

Download program called dualsensex for ps5 controller. It works for me
