This is exactly right.This is like asking Machinist to tone down the Machinery in favor of more gunplay.
I think it's important for the job to evolve and create its own identity outside of just "casts both black and white magic". Sure, keep its basic spells black & white, but when it's really showing its full strength, it should be in its own unique, Red way.
