The rose theme is the best thing FF14 added to/leaned into for RDM's aesthetic, in my opinion.

Apart from the identity, I'm more concerned about where the red mage will be later on. In other words, what reason this class has to exist.
The red mage is clearly at the bottom of the raid line-up. The damage lags behind the black mage and the summoner and doesn't really bring much to the group except less damage and a small 10% damage boost that the black mage and summoner can easily compensate for in the absence of a red mage.
Healing? Revive? Maybe useful in the "learning process" of an encounter but later.
The basic DPS setup is samurai, reaper, dancer and black mage/summoner.
You just don't see a single red mage and that annoys me because Square always brings nice new classes but doesn't think them through to the end.
There are exceptions, but the ff14 logs speak for themselves.
Now there are two more DPS classes competing and somehow I'm afraid that nothing will change at the core.
The roses are cool! And so are the arcane disc patterns that also appear in the spells. They're very stylish!
I like the rose theme cause it makes me feel like Kurama from YuYu Hakusho.
The only thing I wish is Bunbuns could wear the AF hats... Like I get not making every hat available... I don't like it, but I have grown to accept it. But the RDM hat is an identifier of the class since FF1 and I wish they would just let us wear the dang RDM hat...
