Is it finally my time to end my journey?

If anyone has a solution or just some advice, I'd love to hear it. I know I should just listen to what I truly feel about xiv, but I'm just not sure if I should stick around if dawntrail somehow wows me back into xiv.

Your interest in FFXIV might have changed for any number of reasons. Playing the same game for several years can get boring to anyone. Some players thrive on learning new games and maybe you feel that you've learned everything about FFXIV that you want to. You mention that you've mostly been playing solo while you're having active conversations in the other game - maybe it's the lack of social interaction that is diminishing your enthusiasm but could return if you were playing with your real life friends.

I wouldn't stick around for a maybe. Trust your current feelings. You know you're having fun with Deep Rock Galactic right now so keep playing it. Keep in touch with your real life friends and get their impressions of Dawntrail once they've gotten through MSQ and dabbled in end game. If they have a good time, then their enthusiasm might re-ignite yours. If you decide to return, it wouldn't take all that long to get caught back up (and you will have missed the worst of the launch log-in queues!).

I just wanna make sure I can still get some fun out of xiv. If not then I'll just stop playing, but if I can then that'd be nice.

I took a break from like the end of stormblood to the middle of endwalker. Don't push yourself to play the game and take a break, play other games whether MMO or not there are hundreds of new games each year and thousands of older games to play. Maybe you'll find your next favourite game.
In terms of what keeps me playing, I suppose its blu, my fc and the odd achievement and challenge runs I do. So I would suggest seeing if theres any niche thing in the game you enjoy to do whether its something as common as Savage raiding to something as uncommon as Doma Mahjong theres a lot in the game and you might find the thing that makes you want to keep coming back. But if you can't find anything thats fine too, just be done with the game and find joy in the memories you had, games should never be a commitment you should only ever play a game if you're enjoying it.

Honestly, the combat itself is enough of a reason to keep playing. I just love playing, though I guess that's because FPS games are my favorite genre. Also there's a skin I wanted for one of the weapons in the game, and its pretty much luck based, but I don't mind it, it keeps me playing.

If the story doesn't interest you then you could try the content you haven't done. Raiding, if you are motivated by power. Or any and all side content if you like collecting cosmetic rewards such as mounts and glamour. https://ffxivcollect.com/ can help you figure out what you are missing. There is also prestige in completing some side challenges, such as solo deep dungeon runs, eureka/bozja raids and criterion savage dungeons. You mentioned not doing hunts yet. They are a way to get tomestones without doing roulettes, and if you get into spawning S ranks, also a community of people doing content together (check Faloop discord for more info). With a steady stream of poetics, you can work towards old relic weapons from ARR and HW.
