    I'd definitely say there isn't enough RNG in combat and job design. People think they can make jobs more complex and engaging to play by simply adding more buttons but all your doing is just repeating the same pattern over and over, just slightly longer or an extra OGCD thrown in. Fewer abilities but adding various procs that determine what you should prioritize next would require players to pay more attention to maximize their DPS and solves button bloat issues. Red Mage and Dancer are the only jobs that kinda still follow this design but you don't lose much potency for failing.

    Adding more RNG to bosses would make things less of a choreographed dance, but done within reason. Honestly, a lot of Normal fights have more RNG to them than Extreme and Savage fights because they're not designed with the 2-minute meta and maximum up-time in mind.

    What cutscenes are we referring to here?

    Are we referring to Castrum Meridianum and Praetorium? Unskippable transitions in raids and trials? MSQ cutscenes you only see once?

    To this day, alot of players won't even wait for first timers to see the initial cutscenes of bosses, even when asked to wait by the whole alliance.

    You and I and everyone here would know the answers to these, but a dev reading these forums (lol yeah right) would not from this thread alone.

    If you are serious about this thread concept, perhaps link full discussion threads underneath each point, as all that feedback's been provided to death, of course.
    That one is kind of self explanatory though.

    As glamour is right now, you can tank in your small clothes(Emperor's New set), but can't easily be a caster in heavy armour. Being able to glamour using any non-artifact gear would open up millions of more combinations per job.

    i put it on the list cause alot of people i know in friends groups have talked about it and i've seen everywhere else as well on social media avenues
    my assumptions based on what i've been told and have seen is that people want to be able to use more sets then the ones tied to a specific job/discipline i remember in ARR for example we used to be able to use most everything so long as we had the level requirements to equip a piece and it didn't matter if it was crafting, gathering, or DoW or DoM you could glamour pieces as long as your character had gained enough experience to wear the piece of that level requirement.

    there is also a very big LGBTQ+ presence in FFXIV from what i can tell probably the biggest i've seen in any game like this if i am being frank i think in years past these groups were secluded but have now become common which is great as a gay man myself i love the fact that i can relate to other players an be able to hold lengthy or fun conversations with them and from their perspective on the glamour system they want to have more freedom to choose what they can wear an be able to swap between different modeled sets that are designated as female or male pieces of equipment and i would say why not? more options is never a bad thing to have its only a net positive to further add to an already good system.

    and on my personal take i thinks its ok to lock the relic/artifact sets to job specific cause thats part of a jobs identity is its signature attires and colors so i dont really mind it if those stay locked to job specific but for gear that drops from dungeons or raids i think its time they allow those to become available for all and same goes for any equipment thats not designated to be tied into job themes i know alot and myself personally would see amazing pieces of gear an want to combine with other pieces but get disappointed by it being locked behind a job we either dont play or dont have any interest in but would still like to have that same aesthetic thats shown on that piece of equipment.

    Not disagreeing but I don’t understand complaint #12. I’ve run through every story dungeon with trusts for the first run and I’ve not had any issues with them outside of what’s normal.

    Unless it means combat optimisation, like how they’ll wait for a mechanic resolve before using any attack whatsoever, or not using AoEs on 3+ targets lol. Which, whilst definitely super annoying, I think is actually an intentional design choice to basically ‘balance’ trust parties with duty finder, by artificially extending the time it takes to clear.

    Adding my own biggest complaint to the list (#9999 by this point lol) I’ve always hated how toned down and rigidly structured support abilities in FFXIV are. I loved the original Bard songs because they actually required you to actively consider supporting your party relative to MP usage and while considering the cast time and damage reduction (and when that existed lol).
    Now though, every support ability in the game is almost entirely passive, i.e you just press a button and it appears, you don’t have to think about it or sacrifice anything. It’s just there, every 120 seconds, and may as well just apply automatically at this point.

    Then there’s the fact utility-based support is functionally redundant in every way. Like, who the hell ever said ‘Oh wow thank goodness we have Nature’s Minne for this mechanic’, ‘Everlasting Flight saved my baby’, etc lol. We have a ton of mitigations, loads of ‘increased healing’ abilities, Warden’s Paean still exists on a 45 second cool-down, yet they literally never make any content outside of ultimates where these actually matter in any way

    these things you pointed out are likely part of it but i also think its the fact they can rez eachother but not you the player which i can definitely see why that would be frustrating especially considering like how near perfect they tackled the bozja trial fight. think it would be better overall if they went with the three strikes an your out rule that they followed when it came to our confrontation with hydaelyn and zenos i think that should be the standard for these type of duties an after the third strike your sent back to the front of the boss entryway rather than having to run all the way back etc.
    that coupled with i've heard complaints about the healer ai not healing at times where its needed or frustration as a dps player that allisae, g'raha and estinien use the limit break seemingly at random rather than at points where it would be advantageous to use one etc.

    all and all i think the trust/duty support system is a decent little niche of side content for players who may want to just play alone without interruptions or rude players making them speed run a dungeon when they just want to take it all in or for reclears to level alternate jobs and obtain the loot drops without needing to worry someone will claim a piece you want/need. and its not an ideal teaching system but it does help some players learn mechanics of fights for the first time by showing you were to go and stand or how to execute a mechanic correctly i hope this continues to evolve further this system as its definitely a nice option for those who want to take it slow in dungeons or story mode trials and it helps dps mains get faster ques as well as help newer players have an alternative option of clearing outdated content that players just wont que up for as often anymore if at all.
