    List of Complaints

    Disclaimer: first this is not a post to rage bait or few troll points nor is meant to discourage the developers who are hard at work but rather it information that i feel needs to be aired or relayed please be civil.

    over the course of a decade the complaint of players have been many and also varied i'd like to take this time to list off as many as i can if there are some i missed however please feel free to add on to this thread ultimately if we can get this seen it could prove productive but i do know the dangers of trolls or white knights who will try to derail pay them no mind, block, ignore as they only serve themselves an no one else an contribute nothing to the topic at hand

    1.glamour is too restrictive

    2.dimming down combat

    3.gameplay loop is boring and repetitive

    4.cutscenes can be too long or unskippable

    5.issues with access to the game and paying for it

    6.housing is too limited and not offering up enough freedom of choice in selection

    7. character creation is too basic/simple not enough options

    8.friends list too small

    9. cross world functions too limited and too restrictive.

    10.too much RNG

    11. not enough middle of the road(midcore) gameplay for those enjoy a little challenge in their content of choice.

    12.npcs are not optimized for duty support/trusts

    13.rewards for completion of content/gameplay is lacking in substance.

    14. fears of the story losing its allure and becoming too one note.(too predictable)

    15.alts can't share housing features with main account holder.

    16. head equipment for hrothgars/ronso and viera

    I'd definitely say there isn't enough RNG in combat and job design. People think they can make jobs more complex and engaging to play by simply adding more buttons but all your doing is just repeating the same pattern over and over, just slightly longer or an extra OGCD thrown in. Fewer abilities but adding various procs that determine what you should prioritize next would require players to pay more attention to maximize their DPS and solves button bloat issues. Red Mage and Dancer are the only jobs that kinda still follow this design but you don't lose much potency for failing.

    Adding more RNG to bosses would make things less of a choreographed dance, but done within reason. Honestly, a lot of Normal fights have more RNG to them than Extreme and Savage fights because they're not designed with the 2-minute meta and maximum up-time in mind.

    What cutscenes are we referring to here?

    Are we referring to Castrum Meridianum and Praetorium? Unskippable transitions in raids and trials? MSQ cutscenes you only see once?

    To this day, alot of players won't even wait for first timers to see the initial cutscenes of bosses, even when asked to wait by the whole alliance.

    It's easy to read your post as both wanting the "slow deletion/abandonment" to be more prevalent, or the "proc-based rng gameplay" to be more prevalent, y'know? Seems like an honest mistake to me

    In what way? What, specifically, are the community's likes and dislikes of the system? What, specifically, would people like to see changed or expanded?     You and I and everyone here would know the answers to these, but a dev reading these forums (lol yeah right) would not from this thread alone.

    If you are serious about this thread concept, perhaps link full discussion threads underneath each point, as all that feedback's been provided to death, of course.
    That one is kind of self explanatory though.

    As glamour is right now, you can tank in your small clothes(Emperor's New set), but can't easily be a caster in heavy armour. Being able to glamour using any non-artifact gear would open up millions of more combinations per job.
