There is probably still going to be oversight from SE management to make sure the game isn't doing something completely whacky.
They do care about healers - they just have a different vision for them than the people going on "strike", who had no uniform clue what they wanted, contradicted each other, and even if they were all on the same page were so minuscule in number that they didn't warrant fundamentally changing the game to listen to. The answer is clear - the "strike" was a complete failure.Well, at this point it doesn't really matter anymore : 6 month old thread with 988 pages and 9879 response (well 9880 with mine).... And still not ackownlegment from SE/CBU3
The answer is clear : they don't give a sh*t about healer. period.
And i don't think this will change soon...
Personally, I don't think the dev team has a vision for healers, nor do I think they want to, and that's the root of the problem. (◍´͈ꈊ`͈◍)They do care about healers - they just have a different vision for them than the people going on "strike", who had no uniform clue what they wanted, contradicted each other, and even if they were all on the same page were so minuscule in number that they didn't warrant fundamentally changing the game to listen to. That “vision” if they actually have one is doing fantastically apparently considering the lack of healers is still clogging the casual content queues right nowThey do care about healers - they just have a different vision for them than the people going on "strike", who had no uniform clue what they wanted, contradicted each other, and even if they were all on the same page were so minuscule in number that they didn't warrant fundamentally changing the game to listen to. We might not have had a unified vision of what we want but it doesn’t take much to see squares vision (if you can even call complete lack of care a vision) isn’t working
As a healer main in this game for nigh on 14 years all I can say is that I’m tired. My role has been eroded of complexity and expression for 3 expansions. I’ve watched the tanks do my role for me for 2 expansions and my feedback and critiques continue to fall on deaf ears.
I have no idea who modern healers are designed for but I know now it’s not me. This is the first expansion I’m truly considering dropping the healer role and not returning, so if that was the goal- congratulations I guess
Multiple people having different ideas on how to fix the issue doesn't mean that we have no clue what we want. They do care about healers - they just have a different vision for them than the people going on "strike", who had no uniform clue what they wanted, contradicted each other, and even if they were all on the same page were so minuscule in number that they didn't warrant fundamentally changing the game to listen to. Healers are still the last party place to fill in Party Finder. And speaking for myself, the strike hasn't even ended.
You're within your rights to call it a failure because it's been months without acknowledgement, but I'd also ask what your point is?
If the devs aren't listening to us, then what point do you think that proves? We already know they don't listen to us. It doesn't make our demands any less valid.
Been a while since Striker has given us thread fodder. Loyalty isn't dead after all. He's even helping us get to 1000 pages.
First of all, I know you've followed this enough so that by now, you should have realized that the issues being discussed are complex, so you're aware that there are multiple points of view, i.e. opinions. So why would you expect that there would be a "uniform clue what *they* wanted"?They do care about healers - they just have a different vision for them than the people going on "strike", who had no uniform clue what they wanted, contradicted each other, and even if they were all on the same page were so minuscule in number that they didn't warrant fundamentally changing the game to listen to. The answer is clear - the "strike" was a complete failure.
Secondly, how we we know they (presumably Square) "cares about healers"? What do you consider to be "caring"? I would agree that it does not have to equate to my vision of healers, however I would like to know what their vision and roadmap is for healers. I would also like to see some acknowledgment of user feedback and interaction with the community, in live letters, forums, etc., instead of silence.
So unfortunately- your post is just another copy/paste of your prior posts that fails to add anything to the discussion.
While I absolutely agree they simply don’t seem to care about the healer issues…it won’t stop me complaining about them!Well, at this point it doesn't really matter anymore : 6 month old thread with 988 pages and 9879 response (well 9880 with mine).... And still not ackownlegment from SE/CBU3

YOSHIDAA-
*is carried off by moogles*
But go ahead, i won't try to stop you. I'm just stating a blatant and insulting fact.
Personally i stoped playing ASt and SCH in favor of WHM ... Because why bother with strategy, planning, buff etc... When in the end you achieve about the same result with some lillies, Asylum, Divine Favor and Tetagram.
Oh, and if you wonder where is SGE... it sit here : in the trash bin.
Just wanna say, I find it hilarious that in FFXIV Mobile version 'gameplay' demo, all the spellcasters (therefore, healers incl) gets their ranged auto-attack before the main FFXIV's get theirs lmao.
Let me AA as an AST by tossing my cards, you cowards.
