With that back end to even buy the game and subscribe to it. It would be a miracle if they could have a preset choice exit survey, the only thing that perfectly works in the back end is buying cosmetics.
Sure, but how often does this really happen? I've had a 660 iLvl tank in Origenics and even then I only had to GCD heal sometimes. Besides, Swiftcast + Holy when the tank parks the mobs is a LOT of mitigation because they effectively don't deal any damage for a good while.using Holy is fine.. if you have the time. hard to use it if the tanks HP is disappearing faster than ice cream at a kiddie party and they arent using mitigation. rather try keeping the tank up in that case, if I have time, sure, use a stun, heal the tank, but if they are undergeared and using no mits... the time it takes to stun, you'll lose the tank most of the time
As much as I would enjoy the utter chaos that would happen if they nerfed tank DPS, I think upping healer DPS would probably be the better choice. I don't know why they deal less damage than tanks. They are both "support" roles that bring something besides their raw DPS, so about equal damage makes sense to me.As a first step bandaid fix just buff all Healers damage to match tanks... Or if they suddenly pretend to be worried about balance, drop down Tank DPS and make the two meet halfway.
And then they can start working on making Healers have more to do in fights than just spamming one spell.
Is this another "but if we make the poor healers press their damage buttons, they won't be able to focus on healing" thing?
yeah, we wouldnt be able to focus on something we barely do already. oh.. the stress.
it would also apparently mean the majority represented by one particular person would be prevented from healing. (not quite sure how, but I am sure they could explain it)
#FFXIVHEALERSTRIKE
Honestly, I hate the stress argument with a passion because I struggle with anxiety a lot and sometimes it seems that people like me are being used as a cudgel against those who want the game to be even the slightest bit more challenging or engaging. I can't see myself ever stepping into Ultimate because even the idea itself scares me, but that doesn't mean I want it to be taken away from the people who enjoy it. I'm just happily doing the midcore content that I can handle, mostly with the support of friends, and cheering on the people who can handle more difficult stuff.
Maybe this is the MMO healer vet in me talking, but there is a type of healer stress that I find really enjoyable. It's those situations where I'm having to go into triage mode and think about every choice I make. Successfully dragging the party over the finish line in times like these feels INCREDIBLE. It rewards me for not panicking, which I think is a good way to teach my overly anxious brain that it doesn't have to be afraid of everything all the time. Unfortunately, FFXIV doesn't offer me this experience unless things have gone horribly wrong in a pull or my party is straight up bad.

Here again with "DPS!DPS!DPS!"
First they need to fix the healing and support/buff of healer.
This the more pressing issue of the role.... In fact no, it's the more pressing issue of the game right now.
Because, i do't know if you realized but : Tanks are just clearly OP and almost immortal, and some DPS almost have a freaking Self-Sustain.
But no, people need to advocate for DPS first.... Like it will make healer relevant again... Which it will not.
DPS can come later, when, at last, healers will retrieve their place : Healing and Buffing. Then they can give back or had DPS skills again.
There's a lot they need to fix to make healers relevant, they can and should fix all of them at once, there's no need for a 'More healing OR better damage kit' stance, it's not mutually exclusive, neither is more important than the other.
The healer kit needs to evolve as a whole, not move one part forward and leave the others in the dust.
I said it : DPS kit can come later. There's a lot they need to fix to make healers relevant, they can and should fix all of them at once, there's no need for a 'More healing OR better damage kit' stance, it's not mutually exclusive, neither is more important than the other.

Because, seriously, do you see SE being capable to fix thoses 2 things at the same time right now?
Me... No.
Are they capable? Likely not.
Should they? Yes.
So I'm going to continue pushing for them to fix all of it. It's been 6 years of nothing, half-measures won't placate people.
Do you do it on purpose? XD
I didn't say they shouldn't fix everythings, i'm saying that right now they can't handle more than one things at the time.
And right now the more pressing issue it's not the DPS kit, but the fact that we have almost nothing to heal and that our healing kit is just here for show.
