You mean using Manafication and doing the melee combo all the way through Resolution in the opener.
If you do indeed use the melee combo and utilize doublecasting and the backflip/gapcloser I'm not sure how you find them still the same as BLM SMN PCT, unless you mean just the core concept of "being forced to be stationary with casting and managing mobility resources" being shared across the role (which even that's barely done by SMN now).
You shouldn't.
It's mean that the gauge was overcapped before the boss fight.
It's mean she wasn't using any Melee combo during trash mobs pull... Which is bad and gimping the overall DPS output of the team.

But even a WHM's MedicaII + Regen is rarely going to scratch even a fifth of a tank's HP. The average Tank pulls trash mobs and is down to 20% within the first 5 seconds.
The game literally marketed to be a trinity role game. It's totally valid for people to request for said trinity aspect to be adhered more properly. That's like saying a NIN playing like a SMN bc they are DPS :/ Yes, both jobs are a healer and I do agree that they are taking away individuality in jobs, but I don't think that you can oversimplify it to this point.Bottom line, they heal. There's variation with how everyone plays their roles, but that has nothing to do with the Job itself.

I am sorry but I am calling this out a bit. You won't be able to run synced content solo as a WHM, but you can find videos of a warrior doing that. Ah right. Well you can pull that off without overcapping on mana if you start the boss with like 84|62 or 73|73 mana now.
Not that it's really something to aim for, but Scorch and Resolution each add 4|4 mana, then VerHoly/Flare adds 11 to one type of mana. With two sword combos, one from Manafication, you gain a total of 16|38 or 27|27 mana, so if you start with either 84|62 or 73|73 mana you'll have 50|50 mana at the end of the second Resolution for a third sword combo.
