It's not how a strike work at all.... If you want the attention of a governement, CEO or, in this case, the dev, you must first draw the attention of your community. To make them know why you are doing a strike, to make them emphasize with you, so they can add their voice to yours. And the more voices you have with you, the louder you are heard... When enough people are with you, and you became a "threatening force", it's when you can really start to voice your problems and begin to discuss and negotiate

If you don't do that, you will never be heard or acknowledged, and the governement, ceo or, in this case, the dev, will never give a damn about you and your problems.
The strike already had more attention then I ever expected, both from news media and players. I don't think you have to worry about improving outreach, much less this late.

But if you really want to try improve outreach, nobody is stopping you. And I eagerly await your initiative.

    You think?

Where are the ‘voices’ calling for Viper to be simplified? When they decided to take a complete U-Turn on Scholar’s identity and aesthetic? What about when they removed Energy Drain, or Kaiten? Oh, and let’s not forget those ‘threatening powerful voices’ of the masses of tanks who were pleading to become literally invincible in most content. The voices that asked for Astrologian to get 4/6 of its cards turned into ability-clones? Are they in the room with us now?

Your mistake is thinking the devs make their decisions based on some form of logic. Prior evidence suggests otherwise. They base their decisions on whoever screams the loudest and they notice first

Nah, cos if that were true, all the screaming since Kaiten was removed would have brought Kaiten back within 2 weeks. I think it's more likely they make their decisions with 'this will make it easier to balance stuff (theoretically)' and then justify those decisions after the fact with 'Player Feedback', because that way it diffuses the backlash from the devs somewhat to a nebulous cloud of 'Players' who don't actually exist, but make for a good scapegoat when actual players want someone to blame. 'Those damn casual idiots demanded Kaiten get removed and now SAM plays horribly!' But the 'casual idiots' never existed...

Apologies if I misused "meant to" - I used it as a synonym of "the main goal" or "the primary objective". So yes, you read it right, it is not the point to get players' attention. That does not mean it is not part of the process - and this forum topic, Discord server, multiple articles, YouTube videos and other content is the proof of that. You can do your research, if you do not believe me, it should not take long.

It is also very interesting to use political and worker strikes as a comparison. These are very different, since there are other interests at stake - in the former, usually the political opposition funds and organises it, so they can overthrow the government and rule instead; and in the latter, labor unions are the ones fighting for more power to leverage employers. Believing there are no ulterior motives in these two examples is naive; and believing there is one in this strike, besides making healers fun to play, is ignorant. I can safely say that the organisers and participants of this strike do not wish to overthrow the SE devs, so "we can take over the development" and do what we believe in; or to use the strike as a future leverage, where "if you don't do what we say, we will make sure our loyal players disrupt and sink your game".

Sounds about right lol. I mean, I don’t know what threads there are in other language forums, but from what I see in the EN one it’s incredibly rare for people to actually advocate for a change that the devs then make lol. So as you say they probably just make these decisions themselves (throwing darts a board or w/e lol…) then justify it every time with ‘oh but people asked for this’. No they are not in the room with us now (lol)

I highly doubt the lack of challenge in much of the content is due to Square Enix going out of its way to accomodate disabled players. If anything, the lack of challenge is due to the dev's belief that the majority of players enjoy a game which is easy to play.

So, don't try to make disabled players the scapegoat for your dissatisfaction. The issue is solely due to Square Enix taking the safest option in their game design.
Like I said, I've seen some forums around with people posting that they're disabled and particularly have a hard time with the newer Dawntrail content. So I wanted to argue that the game unfortunately can't be made simpler to cater to a small minority of players, primarily because it's not financially viable.

I'm not making a scapegoat, this is a symptom of the problem, not the problem. Square Enix being afraid of presenting any sort of difficulty in the overwhelming majority of normal content has had the benefit of being more accessible to the disabled. However, I caution against catering to a minority when it is at the expense of a majority.

One solution is to leave normal content as is and genuinely make a stepping stone between normal and savage, which has been suggested many times before for a long time, like extreme. But a full package, extreme versions of all roulette content would satisfy midcore players without losing the lower level accessibility.

The fanbase needs to stop putting us disabled players up on a pedestal. I'm a person like anyone else.

But, from the beginning, healer never had any real DPS choice... For a while, Scholar did have a lot of DoT, renmant of the old ARC/SMN.... but that's all

It's true we were more busy because enmity was working in another way, and tank wasn't sturdy as they are now (and skill were using TP, so less DPS).

The problem, in the end, it's not the healers kit, but how the game system evoloved whithout us.... And, be serious, it's not a useless DPS rotation that will chag,e something (and if they implement a DPS rotation to healer, you can be sure that it will only one button combo like VPR and Picto....so...)

It's the entire role that need to evolve and change, but, do you see CU3 do something like that? I mean, right now we heal more than enough to keep a full team alive easily... I think it's all they see. For them it's working, and since it's working, why "breaking it", by changing it completly?

So, i realy think your strike it's pointless, it will change nothing at all, and, anyway, people doing the "strike", are in fact a very little minority and it doesn't impact the game at all.... so....
The content we have now is if you know how to play healer not even massively a challenge. Like I casually did both ex trials as whm and by using 10 % of brain power you can map out almost the entire fights with heal cds if nothing goes wrong. Like I didn’t even tried and I got a 97 on logs as Whm for both fights. Why does the healer role need the fails of your group so you can really have enjoyment in your role, the moment you get a good tank player you effectively become also almost jobless in expert dungeon. Also take the ex 1 fight as example if you don’t get thunder after nails you never have a healer tool shortage for the rest of the fight (healer are so packed with ogcd tolls it’s hard not dying from a body check then from straight dmg in ex1.

It's either that or the "players" are just fellow employees and their family members. Remember the sudden change to the job icon of Sages last expansion because "of complaints from players with trypophobia?" There were no complaints on either the forum, Twitter, or Reddit. It seemingly just came out of nowhere. The only explanation was it had to be someone who worked at Square Enix.

    Well, patch notes are Out.

AST got barely enough changes to fix the most egregious issues with it atm.

SGE didn't get double DoTs back from the media Tour.
