I personally don't play Healer because I don't want to DPS when I'm Healing. It's the design of the game but I don't care for DPSing on heals so I don't play Healer.

No offense, but "sinking boat" really doesn't make for a good analogy to this. If anything, it oversimplifies your own strikes problems.
It's not a sinking boat. It's a boat the strikers believe isn't designed well. There are features on the boats you think aren't necessary, and other features you think need to be added. But the issue is that those feelings not universal, as other passengers actually like the boat the way it is now, and while more still simply think only a few changes are needed.
Furthermore, the strikers are also claiming that completely different boats are in possession of things that only their boats should be allowed to have. They are demanding that those boats also be changed.
What you're asking for is not the devs plugging a hole in a single boat. You're asking them to completely overall the entire fleet to your tastes. A task that would be extremely difficult, time consuming, and risky, especially when the demands being made aren't even universally agreed upon.
I'm playing healer, Sage and White mage and this expansion is baby difficulty. Git Good using your whole kit :3
White mage is a bit boring, allways has been on the dps department, but self shielding is allways a good idea in extremes now.
Sage is really stupidly mobile as a healer with so many instants and creating itself it's own periods of manoeuverability, i love it., they also added ways to loose less time applying dots to a group of ennemies and a new powerfull instant / ogcd to his toolkit, wery good.
Umm...what? Isn't one of the main claims being pushed by the "strike" that healers don't even need to heal because other roles have so much mitigation and self-sustain? How would a healer actually needing to heal make them a bad healer? That makes no sense...
It is, however, quite telling that your response to someone countering that claim is to just attack and insult the person. That's the classic resort of someone who knows they can't refute the point. Even more telling is that nobody else supporting the "strike" called you out on it, but instead "liked" your comment. Very revealing what types of "people" are supporting this thing...
I do heal on a regular basis. I have pointed that out several other times in this thread. But thank you for attempting to tell me my own experience is false. The condescension is likewise revealing. Why is this attitude so common among those pushing the "strike"?if you, sir, actually healed on a regular basis, you would know this.
Again, that was a specific comment to a specific post in this thread. I have mentioned multiple other times that this experience remains true even outside of these past few days. The continued condescension is the icing on the cake - especially the "you heard of those?" when I specifically mention them..."I've been doing most of the roulettes as heals the past couple days" and who do you get the last couple days? people just back into the game after time off and people who have just picked up one of the two new classes, you heard of those right?
I've said elsewhere that I consider myself an RDM "main" because that's the class I always do the MSQ with and consider as "defining" my character in-game. But when it comes to group content, I mainly heal. I regularly run the various roulettes, and heal in almost all of them (the only real exception being splitting between healing and tanking for "Expert" dungeons). So yes, what I describe is the "normal" experience. I do know that. Apparently, you don't know the reality of casual game play, and my best guess would be because you seem only interested in listening to those who say what you want to hear, rather than actually listening to people who have other opinions. Them, you just belittle and act condescending. I would end this reply by calling you "sir," but that would convey a level of maturity I'm not confident has been reached yet.maybe actually main healer, not take it up as a hobby. because, as things age, like the expansion.. thats not the "normal" experience.. thats a blessed rarity. but you wouldnt know that. that is the reality of casual game play sir.
Yeah, that's the point. Run enough DF content with random, typical players and you'll find the typical person isn't an expert at the game, nor is the typical healer. The end result being that typical healers in typical content actually become a necessary role as is, which explains in large part the design direction SE has been going with them. This is actually a skill issue, sorry.

Waited almost 30 minutes to get a healer for the final boss of DT.
Granted, it's still early but considering the other slots got filled instantly there's still a very obvious disparity in the role usage.
I did read them, actually. But like I've said, I'm pretty neutral about all this; I agree and sympathize with some points being made, while I find others kinda silly and poorly founded/explained.
And again, there's no malice or spite in what I'm saying. You're the one making assumptions about what I've read about this and my intentions, and I can't do anything about that. That's on you.

Wow it's like you've noticed that humans aren't hive minded, no kidding.
How did you get this epiphany?
