    This is a very powerful message. Very eloquent and well articulated. While I had anticipated the backlash, I also feel like Wild E. Coyote if he actually caught the roadrunner. If I got a DM from Yoshida and he said, "Tell me what the problem is, I'm listening." I fear what I would have to say would not address everyone's issues, including my own. Summing up nearly six years worth of feedback from the community's healers into just five of the most important points involving healer design is a very daunting task.

    I also couldn't ask for suggestions as this would just result in being overwhelmed, plus I already have all that data in my head. Instead, I would have to ask the community if they can confide in me to be indiscriminate and unbiased in being the voice.

    Like I said in my last response. I will put a lot of thought into this. It is late now, and I must turn in.

    Please provide your feedback as to the conditions to end the strike and the date it should begin. I am thinking the strike will be officially underway when Dawntrail launches on Tuesday, July 2, 2024.

    Wait, this game has healers.... why ?

    Good for you healers but not sure how much of an impact this is actually going to have due to healers being pretty popular on alot of severs, I play on Cerb which is a high pop server, and it's almost always Tank required in the queues, occasionally one or two roulettes will be healer but it's mainly tank.

    They have dropped the skill ceilings to the floor and lowered the skill floor, for all job roles. That's the problem with making healers more than green dps. They would then be the only point of failure and you will get alot of toxicity around healers if there is any failure.
    The skill floor in ARR, tanks had to actually manage their aggro (yes good tanks basically did massive burst in tank stance and switched out for more damage but that was the skill ceiling not the floor.) they had tp to manage so they couldn't just spam moves blindly, this was the og skill floor and if a tank messed up aggro, party wiped. In turn there was very little self heal in game, I believe just the dragoon and paladin had a heal move and they weren't great, so healers had to keep people alive or party wipe. Dps had positionals if they didn't land them their dps was low and you party wipe on enrage.

    They removed all of these things making the skill floor sub basement level, if you suddenly add back in a skill floor to healers, with the current state of combat, which requires 1/2 of a functioning braincell, aka, wall to wall and press all the glowy buttons. it will always be the healers fault, you would put way to much pressure on healers because everyone else is playing unga bunga mindlessly press buttons.

    I'm surprised at how tame this healer protest is even considering how people already don't mind hurting themselves by manually queueing as a DPS or a tank in DF to lengthen the queues.

    This strike will send a message, but nothing will change. OP only got around 146 likes, that means only 146 players care enough about this issue.

    SE is not going to spend time and money to please those 146 players when majority of those 146 players will keep playing and paying.

    While i think this won't accomplish much, i won't be playing as a healer in DT. So, add +1 to the dps/tank queues.

    Ironically, the only part of the FFXIV where Class Trinity is respected is BLU aka the middle stepchild the limited job.
    Tanks mainly focus on holding agro and staying alive (because BLU tanks are very squishy and can't self-heal constantly), plus helping healers with healing raidwides.
    Healer(s) heal and support the group, usually Off-guard, Peculiar Light, Magic Hammer/Candy Cane and other utility are handled by healers/tanks, so DPS can focus on their primary job, that is doing damage.

    I still struggle to understand how SE gather their feedbacks and whom their design is made for?

    I admit there are some good changes here and there in DT, but a lot of issues we're having for years are still not properly addressed, and those issues are universal to both causal content and hardcore content.

    Not even causal players are happy about healer gameplay experience in ShB and EW. Imagine playing as a healer through MSQ with trusts. Such level of bordem can upset even the casualest of casuals.

    Sometimes I think SE weighs 1 complaint post on twitter regarding healing difficulty more than years of combined feedbacks about healers.

    I'll speak for myself, but the job design isn't enough to unsub because there are other aspects of the game that I enjoy a lot (story, side content) as well as not really having interest in any other mmorpg atm.

    Yet it's still completely valid to find a more assertive way to provide feedback, especially because they DO look at jobs with low player engagement. Imagine if it was a whole role.
