Because it's getting traction. Which this thread should! The healer situation is so silly at this point. Over abundance of heals, now ppl can do ot for us? Not fair I already didn't know when to heal on playstation.
Every healer is becoming the same thing, the only one that was fun with high Apm and abit of choice has been nerfed. That my love was AST
From my reading of the JP fourms it's clear that many aren't as interested in adding more dps options to the kit, but there are still those that wish scholars had their old dots back, astro cards returning from stromblood, a larger distinction between barrier and pure healers, and that more healing could be required in harder content.
Saying the entire JP fourm is against it seems disingenuous. I'm by no means saying it's a popular opinion, but some do share our sentiments.
Wow that is absolutely incredibly rude toward not just this post, but the JP forum...to interrupt their conversation and not even try to convey your thoughts in their language while bringing rude
and untruthful remarks to debate over there. I am absolutely speechless. I question some people sometimes, this thread has been quite civil...and to call it whining is...childish to say the least.
If you don't like what's being discussed, you don't need to chime in...but please don't go out of your way to interrupt a foreign forum with your own personal complaints. You can ask for their opinion on the matter, but please remember you are playing by their rules and customs.

#FFXIVHEALERSTRIKE
1: Healers need something to do when they aren't healing, the lousy one button dps experience and occasional second just is not enough.
2: The sustain of the nonhealer jobs has taken our job from us...which has left us nothing to do besides our lousy one button dps experience.
3: We do not need most of the healing buttons...a lot of those buttons can straight up be removed or consolidated. Which would be a good thing to consolidate using the new sys.
4: Pure & Shield means nothing and having any combination of the two is just overkill.
I think at the end of the day, I just want a bit of choice like it was back in arr - sb. It's all getting homogenised now and I have no idea if it's for accessibility, today nmo market, CBU3s understaffed - who knows.
I'm just not a fan of healers getting over blown kit heals, when it's not even needed anymore.
I'm a pure PS player and healer and tbh I'd be happy to swop bars (we get 16 actions per bar) if ppl just weren't putting me off with no clue that they were gonna burst heal themselves. Just puts me off
And don't you forget it. Hey I tried. I tried coming in here, being polite, and giving my opinion that getting rid of warrior sustain was not the solution. You all didn't like that and attacked me for it. So, if you all are gonna treat me disrespectfully, then why should I give you my respect? I've said it multiple times and I'll probably say it multiple more, I'm all in favor of making healers more interesting, but not at the expense of anyone else. In my mind, that's more damage buttons. Some of you don't agree, and that's fine, but getting rid of tank sustain is not the answer and I will not budge on this. The only WAR I saw that got such firm pushback make it very clear they knew WAR is by far the strongest job, but they liked it that way. And they didn't want to engage in any more detailed discussions on how the healer concerns could be fixed without lowering heals from tanks. It was "not their problem".
Also, for those of you saying you've been unhappy "for half a decade," why are you still giving Square your money? If you want something done, if you really want to be heard, unsub and let Square find out the hard way. Because right now you're telling them "I've been unhappy for so long but I'm still going to give you my money" and that's... I mean what are they supposed to take from that? At this point, if you've really been unhappy with the way healer has been for 5 years, that's entirely on you for continuing to subject yourself to it. Don't blame others for your poor decisions.
It's strange because they both think this strike is worthless but also think it's bad for the game. It's absurd trying to garner support from another region who probably doesn't know this is going on and even if they do definitely don't care.
"you can fix the problem in theory just don't nerf me invalidating your entire role" isn't respectful no matter how you phrase it.And don't you forget it. Hey I tried. as for not playing healer anymore if it's so terrible, yes, that's what we're doing and the topic of the thread.
We have Bahamut yes, but what about a second Bahamut?
There are outliers sure but I'm just saying that the majority over there don't want the same changes we want. The majority want more healbot changes instead of damage healer changes. I have seen a couple of JP healers complain about the lack of DPS buttons but they're mostly shot down by other JP healers with the same old "just play DPS" or "wouldn't it be better to have more damage to heal."From my reading of the JP fourms it's clear that many aren't as interested in adding more dps options to the kit, but there are still those that wish scholars had their old dots back, astro cards returning from stromblood, a larger distinction between barrier and pure healers, and that more healing could be required in harder content.

This went from simple trolling to me genuinely wondering just how mentally unwell these people are.
I'll give healer a try up until level 100. If I do not like it, I'm off the role, entirely. Was this what Yoshi P wanted for people like me? Did he assume we were too foolish to take any semblance of complexity? How could such an allegedly open developer act so dismissive towards his own players? The flavor of the jobs I loved so much throughout the franchise were mere husks of themselves. What was once a magical world peeled away to reveal a sterile room of four walls. No imagination, no challenge, only accessibility for the sake of it. I didn't feel welcomed, I felt betrayed.
