Isn't that what 'If you want challenging gameplay as healer, give ultimate a try!' was? Or how about 'please give healers a try' (in response to Abyssos causing a shortage)? Or what about the one that went something like 'Our data showed SCH was forcing WHM to do all the healing' (the charts from the time showed the two to be equal on HPS, and with the 'Mitigation = HPS' change to FFlogs, SCH would dominate in said charts)

And yet, this thread exists. People clearly don't know how to read between the lines. They want Healers to remain as is and not have to devote by default more resources towards dps options. People just have a really hard time accepting something that hasn't and likely won't change for years to come. At this point, whoever still plays healer, liked it for what it is. If you don't like it, play a caster instead. It's not that hard to accept the devs stance at this point.

Oh look, another oracle who can apparently predict the future and also read the devs' minds. This "reading between the lines" is completely made up because they have never made any "stance" clear. Hell, they have recently openly admitted that they went too far with job simplification. Unless they come out and say something, all we have is speculation, so please stop treating said speculation as fact just because it fits with your opinion.

That and their minds clearly change. Remember how they told us they would never release 2 DPS in an expansion again? Yeah, about that...

Didn't they also at one point say that Paladins would never block magic attacks? Only to change that not long into Stormbloods release? Female Viera and Male Hrothgar were supposed to be the last races because both were wanted by the devs and playerbase, but they only had resources for 1 race, so they settled on 2 half-baked races, they clearly changed their mind to release the opposite sexes over the expansions. Every rework made is the devs changing their minds, every QoL change they once said was impossible is the devs changing their minds, it's fully possible for Square to change their minds on healer designs, they just need to have an open mind and some creativity to act on it.

Of course nobody can predict "accurately to 100%" the future. But you can analyze the trends. This strike didn't pop up from nowhere and some healers have been writting the same old feedback for what? Years?
So if in 5-6 years(or however long people have been unhappy) and SE still hasn't budged. Well "An absence of an answer is also an answer" and people will get the hint eventually...

PLD didn't have a single ogcd/inherent heals for a decade. Look at it now.

I think the PLD issue could be covered because the other tanks were not that bad? the issue for healers infects virtually the entire job class.

The PLD example was meant to illustrate how things can change in FF, even after they were unchanged for years. As a counterpoint to suggestions the devs have long since made up their mind about healers.

Its not really the same as adding a spell or two and outright changing the whole "philosophy" of the role. TL: D R the stikers requests goes beyond just adding 1 spell but gives an impression of turning healer roles into some dps with support abilities role.

It's a huge break in trend. So it shows breaking trend is not unprecendented. And most of the requests from healers don't require big changes to the game.
- Either rework existing damage buttons to be used more often, or add 1 or 2 new damage buttons that get used more often. Doesn't require huge changes.
- Give (in particular new) bosses a few more unavoidable AoE attacks. Doesn't require huge changes.
- Lower heals of mostly WAR (but also PLD) so it doens't rival (or eclipse in certain content) heals from healers. Doesn't require huge changes.
