Even still, AIN is not a good metric to go by, we know it's biased towards tanks and takes about a minute or two to update when it does need to swap to another role. LuckyBancho may be a little out of date now, but considering its EW numbers had the tank population around 1.8 million or so while healers were just under 1.2 million should tell you that healers are the rarer role.

While I’m 99.9% playing PCT and refusing to queue as a healer I did relent once and helped my friend who had been sitting in the queue for Sphene for like 4 hours and just wanted to finish the story

Everyone besides me and the 2 tanks died during her “clusterfuck” phase and from there the tank wasted the LB3 then both were actively trying to get me killed from then on till I could get the rest of the party up

At this point the tanks are actively trying to solo the boss without the rest of the party

I have noticed tanks doing this as well, it's really pathetic. Please do everyone a favor and go play an actual competitive game or at least the competitive mode in the game. It's not our fault you play a boring easy mode job.

And I only say that because you must be super bored to think about griefing people in encounters. Its one thing if my friends do it, but we shouldn't see this behavior just anywhere.

I tested and queued as a healer and waited 3 minutes before getting in, tried as a tank and it was instant.

So much for your strike.

Every party for the extreme fights is searching for healer and some times p ranges. Not tanks or anything else.

Let me guess the healer players are shy and the role is not that boring or ?

Can't wait for 8.0 to drop and healers are given 5 heals, no DoTs, their spammable single target be instant cast and otherwise the exact same, and their AoE dmg to have heals attached to it and cost 0 MP. Look forward to it :3

Everyone's so trusting of the 8.0 job identity rework, but what exactly does the dev team view as the job identity of all the healers?

I think that question is an important one that we need the answer to.

apparently there are healer queueing as healer but then dont heal the tank (yeah, some random tanks, they dont care if its a sprout). and then when the tank dies they write something about healer strike.
