This thread is absolutely wild to me. A bunch of people complaining that WAR is strong in dungeons. Try running savage/ulti on healer and tell me its easy.

As a healer main in this game for nigh on 14 years all I can say is that I’m tired. My role has been eroded of complexity and expression for 3 expansions. I’ve watched the tanks do my role for me for 2 expansions and my feedback and critiques continue to fall on deaf ears.
I have no idea who modern healers are designed for but I know now it’s not me. This is the first expansion I’m truly considering dropping the healer role and not returning, so if that was the goal- congratulations I guess

Meanwhile in Ultimates...
Wow look you're still a glare bot who never needs to use GCD heals! *Other then DPS neutral Afflatus ones

I've done Savage week 1 on healer in Anabaseios. It's easy unless your party is awful.
But if your party is awful, it's body-check o'clock and everyone explodes.
Riveting. That's not what people are complaining about anyway.
I love encounter design where I can barely recover anything other than some Heal LB3 because if two people die, then everyone dies
And when that's not happening, I press 1 really hard.
But yea, no one in the thread has done Savage/Ultimate. And who cares about dungeons/alliance raids anyway, right? It's only like, 3/4 of the game.
Here, have my own logs from w1 10S, without tank lbing HH. Looks wonderful. I really pressed 1 hard.
(Reading these kind of responses is really making me bitter. If you're wondering why no 12S w1 logs, well, I got bored after 11 and swapped to BLM. Best call I made)

The most depressing part is that when you click into the thread, the "What led to the strike" part of the OP is right there on the screen, this is the case on both mobile and desktop.
The only people who can miss it are the people who see the title of the thread and immediately jump to the last page to give their inaccurate opinion on their imagined reasons for the strike.

But according to some people us correcting these incorrect assumptions is “jumping down the throats of people who still like healers”The most depressing part is that when you click into the thread, the "What led to the strike" part of the OP is right there on the screen, this is the case on both mobile and desktop.

I think they've already formed their opinion from some other source and wanted to jump into the thread to "give their take" despite how uninformed their take actually is. Reading the OP really should be enough to be informed, but then you get more "lolol it's because of that dungeon run is it?" or "just play other jobs" when the OP already goes over that.
#FFXIVHEALERSTRIKE
Healers have been neglected for 3 expansions now and this needs to be rectified with the following:
- An engaging DPS kit beyond a nuke and DoT.
- Increased incoming damage so we have more to heal.
- Distinctive playstyles amongst the healers.
- Some nerfs to non-healer heals, we shouldn't be replaceable.
You could have just written, "I am illiterate," and saved yourself some typing.
(Also WAR soloed P1N on release, but I guess it's perfectly fine for one job to be able to solo current 8-man content in a trinity-focused MMO, amirite?)
"Once upon a time, you were the based healer, who could carry any tank through the largest of pulls! Now you're just here because the Duty Finder said you have to be." - Lucy Pyre
