Yeah don't agree with him at all that it is the stupidest thing ever. especially in the way it is meant in this case. Even though I wonder if that opinion is coming less from what people are actually doing and the impression he has when he hears the word strike in general.

I feel like though calling it a strike is kind of a double edged sword. It is a word after all where pretty much everyone in the world has some emotional connection to in combined with a lot of propaganda. And media gives strikes often the most attention when it is used in a way to inconvenience others to force an outcome. On the one hand that helps with bringing awareness to it and gets people talking (because pretty much everyone will have an emotional reaction in some way when they hear healer strike). on the other hand you have to fight the impressions people have at first about it because of using that word. Not the end of the world but I think it would be good for everyone taking part in it to be aware of the negatives as well (not that I think that no one is aware of it but by how surprised some people are of the negative reactions, it makes me question if some more awareness in that regard would be good)

I think the cost benefit calculation for joining the strike will be very different for FF14 content creators as well. Like for everyone else if you don't enjoy playing healer anymore anyway with how they are right now and it is just a hobby, there is way more benefit in joining the strike compared to the cost. Joining a strike like that as a Final Fantasy content creator though on release of an expansion with your income being affected by it as well if you would join? Way different calculation
