Something that I've mentioned long time ago: I have mixed feeling about the Trashologification of the healers. In hindsight, it makes sense from the standpoint of "because it allows us to make use of our overabundant oGCD that they've been drowning us with since past couple expansions."
However by doing so, they've also eliminated another vestige and opportunity that (may) make each healer gameplay feels 'different', such as:
- WHM's lilies were more valued back in ShB vs early 6.0 because they were used for healing, weaving, and/or mobility. Come EW 6.0 they became something that we try to avoid because filler at 1.5s just devalues the last two points in addition to the lack of Afflatus Misery potency adjustment (although to be frank, I did not see this as much of an issue personally). They should've focused on improving the interactivity of the gauge & maybe add more lily spells (Hello, Afflatus Purgation) instead of adding bunch of random actions here and there that shares nothing but its similarity in lily-esque VFX yet doesn't interact with the gauge at all lmao.
- SCH is a debatable case considering many of their powerful actions are oGCDs. However, one could argue Ruin II and Energy Drain both served exactly for that purpose back in ShB. Come 6.0 EW, it should've been a good opportunity to reintroduce multiple options of DoTs. Say give a 21s dps gain DoT with 1.5s cast time (i.e. Miasma III) and a 12s dps neutral/situational dps gain DoT with instant cast (i.e. Bio III or IV). Suddenly, you now have way more weaving spaces without deleting the 2.5s cast time - it could've been an opportunity to introduce a personal job mechanic that uses those DoT ticks as well or add back Deployment Bane to spread those DoTs! But here we are...
- AST can remain 1.5s cast time. Speaking from personal experience, their 1.5s cast time felt distinct enough to me that everytime I zone in as one back in ShB, I can say "Oh right I play an AST now". It should've been their perk, not to be given willy nilly to everybody else.
