+1 to this.
As a person who plays healers in every MMO that he play I can say that XIV gave me the best healer class that I really love but at the same time current state of things leaves me kind of heartbroken to be honest. I love SCH and I know full well what this job is capable of. The main point is that this "capable of" is not needed in a lot of scenarios. FFXIV was the game I choosed in a lot of ways because of the triad tank/healer/dps that is not being used in other mmos now. And looking at how this part starts to became irrelevant makes me want to stop playing the game.

From my experience in normal dungeons, trials, extremes and even Ultimates I can say this:
Normal dungeons are way too easy when it comes for healing. Older dungeons are better in this regard. Endwalker ones makes you feel like useless garbage if it's not first week of release of a patch. Taking in consideration that we use them for gearing makes me really dissapointed. I just want to do my favourite job instead of listening neverending "DON'T HEAL MEEE" from a tank.

Alliance raids are more fun. Especially ones from HW and SB. There I always feel like party needs a healer and they are really fun to play. BUT nowadays we go Ivalice or Void Ark only on moogle events. Most of times we get Crystal Tower in alliance roulette that is literally braindead.

Trials are... controversial imo. I started to do actual extreme trials in Endwalker and I can say that Endsinger, Golbez and Zeromus were really fun to play as a healer and you needed to put your skill into that. Especially it's about Zeromus and I hope that SE will give us trials of same complexity in the future. I can't remember a single run of that that made me feel bored, it's really healer time to shine. On the other side of the coin tho we have that if you have a static, it makes your life easier so to speak. And you kind of don't need to do that much of work on top of broil/glare/you name it. Not the case of Zeromus again tho so again I hope that we will have such fights in the future.

Savage raids are more like of a "memorize when you must use X skill". PF parties are more fun so to speak, you have more of an actual work on you as a healer but if you have a static it's just that. While it may be fun at some point, I feel like I kind of miss the feeling of flexibility. Current savage tier was about "if you used some skill not when it was needed, you doomed the party" (I send hello to P10S).

Ultimates... I haven't been to EW ones but I started from UwU and it felt okay tbh. UCoB tho feels worse, for some reason number of complaining tanks there are much higher than in UwU.
(two part message sorry)
