Best, most effective thing to do is vote with your wallet
If you're still paying to play, they don't have to listen - it'd have to take a large enough drop to make them notice

Trying to explain the healer role's issues to the general community has been an exercise in frustration. Therefore, I will choose to adopt a "show, don't tell" method starting in DT.I genuinely never thought the biggest issue to any sort of public support for improving healer design would be trying to get the average person to figure out that “more DPS buttons” doesn’t necessarily mean “do more damage”
I thought it was obvious but I’ve been wrong on that front more times than I could possibly count
I will start playing tank more often and invalidate as many healers as I can and make all of them as bored as possible so they intimately understand what the issues of the healer role are.

Hate to tell you this, but everyone is technically a hybrid, and no one in this thread is saying that they don't want to heal on the healer role- rather the reverse, so I don't know where you got that impression - they're saying that the other roles can do so much healing that healers can be replaced. Healers want to contribute, they don't need to heal 100% of the time. Each role should be engaging.Nah, it's what you are asking. As a DPS I can't sustain myself without a tank or healer. You guys are asking to be some kind of hybrid. With your logic all jobs should just be some blob that can fill all roles. Yeah, if you don't like healing then don't. That's a choice you got.. throwing this baby fit because you're not a dps (more dps buttons) too is dumb. I got 1 mit and 2 shitty self heals as a dps. I'm not screaming for the ability to survive tank busters or keep my party alive. Get over it.
Finally, your analogy doesn't really work. Have you looked at the some of the new skills, or even thought of how tanks can assist DPS in a party with healing? No, I don't think that you have.
Over the last 10 years playing this I've never been in a high end raid situation where healers aren't needed. But. Maybe you guys are playing a different game than I am.
Yeah, and they obviously won't care because they're just there for the dungeon. Doing this will make their brain just turn off and go watch Netflix or something, since they'll think "This is easy." and go on with their day. Of course, FFXIV caters far too heavily to its casual player base and the toxic opinions of some high-end streamers. If the 1 Tank 3 DPS Dungeon Clear from Xeno didn't send a message at the Media Tour? They're never going to fix it.Trying to explain the healer role's issues to the general community has been an exercise in frustration. Yea, I'm not sure "making casual healers job easy" is going to make them think healers need to be fixed.Yeah, and they obviously won't care because they're just there for the dungeon. That was my idea as well XD. I will be with you on that. But, more specifically I will be using PF to be removing the healer role as an ask for.Trying to explain the healer role's issues to the general community has been an exercise in frustration. #FFXIVHEALERSTRIKE
1: Healers need something to do when they aren't healing, the lousy one button dps experience and occasional second just is not enough.
2: The sustain of the nonhealer jobs has taken our job from us...which has left us nothing to do besides our lousy one button dps experience.
3: We do not need most of the healing buttons...a lot of those buttons can straight up be removed or consolidated. Which would be a good thing to consolidate using the new sys.
4: Pure & Shield means nothing and having any combination of the two is just overkill.
I would understand all the self heal for all the Jobs if the dungeons were really hard but they are not. Either the Heals from non-healers need to be adjusted/removed or the Dungeons need to hit and punish mistakes much harder. Healers are at this moment not needed for most Content.

High-end Raids are a different situation: What they're referring to is the 99% of content - Dungeons. If 99% of content is clearable without healers, then Healers shouldn't exist is the message we're getting. This 1 Tank 3 DPS thing started with Endwalker, and considering Healers have been bad since Shadowbringers? Protesting is the only way, whether by wallet or in-game. Of course, what dev reads the English Forums nowadays? It's not like they only can read JP Forums where they can understand their own language...
