They decided that there are probably still people clearing raids in EW so they wanted to give them some time before the strike officially starts.
If I understood it correctly.
If you are using FFLOGs as a bar for any form of data it is used by maybe less than 15% of the entire game population. It may be accurate to those who use it, but it's not accurate as a whole. It's why the Developers don't use FFLOGs or any other form of third party data gathering. They use their own metrics.I find it telling that the anti-strike posts always say things like "stop whining" and "this is hurting others in the game," but none - none - of them address our main concerns with the healing role:
- Healers spend more time DPSing than healing at all content levels, verifiable from data parses.
- Our DPS "rotations" primarily consist of a DoT and a single direct-damage ability spammed ad nauseum.
- The game meta has evolved around this general devaluation of the healer role, evidenced by things like wall-to-wall pulls being expected and tank self-sustain growing to ridiculous proportions.
- There being no encounters in the game that highlight/prioritize the healing role.
It's fine to be critical, but you gotta come with better arguments than "suck it up so everyone else can have fun."
MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM FFXIV community is being weird again!!!
hope is the first step on the road to disappointment
so one must ask, if it is used by less than 15% of the population, why has it been used to try and discredit the strike? usually by people who apparently live and die by their parses and say "do harder stuff"If you are using FFLOGs as a bar for any form of data it is used by maybe less than 15% of the entire game population. as for the timing.. when is a good time for you?
#FFXIVHEALERSTRIKE
One- paragraph breaks- please use them. This strike is ridiculous. It will only turn ppl off from playing and making queueing for duties even more miserable. It's specially more infuriating considering the OP doesn't even play difficult content. People really do take one VOD and take it to a new level to apply it as the norm. Take the no healer TOP run as an example, *snip* Ultimate content cannot be done with the average player and those are what people should be using for reference, not what one guy does and amplify it into a monster that terrorizes the entire community and converts people into "healers are useless" mouthbreathers and naysayers.
Two - what does OP's "not running difficult content" have to do with her specific feedback, or feedback from the majority of players that don't do Savage or Ultimate content, but do all the rest of the game?
Three- there have been years of feedback prior to the specific dungeon you're discussing, it's not about just one group.
Four- OP posted the initial post, however the comments were not solely her idea. I would also point you to the number of likes. It's not a perfect metric, however I do feel that it gives some indication that that they're shared by a an unusually high number of people for the OF.
Five- If you feel useful in roulettes, great! I mean that seriously. Many people don't, especially with body checks- they're really a skill issue for healers. You can't really save someone. You can raise them- but you can't "pull off a save". The skill set isn't the same, nor is the feeling.
Finally, why should ultimate be used for a reference aka 'just play ultimate" ? Most players won't ever do that content. Mind you, referencing people as "mouthbreathers" doesn't exactly bode well for your reading this.
2 weeks ago a week ago when it actually matters, there are tons of people taking a break or catching up on story. Only late bloomers are doing raids. It would have been the most effective as it MAY have actually effected que times. Trying on launch day when literally almost the entire world is going to be logging in on the same time makes no impact at all. It's like throwing a stuffed toy at a brick wall thinking its going to do damage.
Almost every single ultimate group will have logs, it is just too useful of a tool. I would wager that 99% of ultimate clears have a log.If you are using FFLOGs as a bar for any form of data it is used by maybe less than 15% of the entire game population. if the logs point to an issue in that content, and those of us who don't ever step foot in it are claiming to have the same issues... what does that tell you?If you are using FFLOGs as a bar for any form of data it is used by maybe less than 15% of the entire game population. 1- Because the game became braindead easy and people are happy with, every time someone suggested harder content in this forum/reddit w.e the waves of " Nooooo the game should catter to my grandmother who never played a video game before!, this game needs to be inclusive for everyone!, if you don't like then unsub, isn't about the healing role being bad.
2- Yeah, since ARR healers complained about " I'm a healer I shouldn't be DPSing, stop asking for it, please SE remove the dots and cleric stance, I'm dealing with anxiety because everyone is pointing at me"
3- Dungeons gives nothing, there is no gil or exp by killing mobs anymore people just want to run dungeons in 10 minutes and move on rather than 30min for a few worthless tomes, then again the healer role isn't the issue.
4- Fake, all the roles are important on daily basis.
