Also, I think its interesting that the mobile games version of casters and healers are getting ranged, combo spam attacks. (✯◡✯)

That “vision” if they actually have one is doing fantastically apparently considering the lack of healers is still clogging the casual content queues right nowThey do care about healers - they just have a different vision for them than the people going on "strike", who had no uniform clue what they wanted, contradicted each other, and even if they were all on the same page were so minuscule in number that they didn't warrant fundamentally changing the game to listen to. The answer is clear - the "strike" was a complete failure.
We might not have had a unified vision of what we want but it doesn’t take much to see squares vision (if you can even call complete lack of care a vision) isn’t working
As a healer main in this game for nigh on 14 years all I can say is that I’m tired. My role has been eroded of complexity and expression for 3 expansions. I’ve watched the tanks do my role for me for 2 expansions and my feedback and critiques continue to fall on deaf ears.
I have no idea who modern healers are designed for but I know now it’s not me. This is the first expansion I’m truly considering dropping the healer role and not returning, so if that was the goal- congratulations I guess
How was this a failure? More people —especially those with media presence—are speaking out about their own disappointing experiences with the healer role across different types of content. This already dismisses the idea that the strike is purely made up of “elites” or “casuals”—since, honestly, none of you could decide on that either. And even if they’re not directly participating in the strike, they agree with us: the healer class just isn’t fun when it’s only useful in 1% of the content. They’ve even pointed out that the class needs more support—whether it’s a mini DPS rotation or additional party buffs—because with the over abundance of healing spells that get barely used and the healers feeling homogenized, the current gameplay, with such a small healing demand, and way too much downtime, just feels bad, especially when you’re mostly spamming the same 1 attack and 1 dot all the time. They do care about healers - they just have a different vision for them than the people going on "strike", who had no uniform clue what they wanted, contradicted each other, and even if they were all on the same page were so minuscule in number that they didn't warrant fundamentally changing the game to listen to. The answer is clear - the "strike" was a complete failure.
On top of that, I’m actually glad this “strike” has encouraged more people to try the class for themselves! Not only has it made it easier for me to queue as DPS this expansion, but if the class stays in this state, maybe new faces will start their own strike too—and I’ll be right there to support them.
TLDR; we got more voices, more experiences, the strike was/is successful.

Multiple people having different ideas on how to fix the issue doesn't mean that we have no clue what we want.
Healers are still the last party place to fill in Party Finder. And speaking for myself, the strike hasn't even ended.
You're within your rights to call it a failure because it's been months without acknowledgement, but I'd also ask what your point is?
If the devs aren't listening to us, then what point do you think that proves? We already know they don't listen to us. It doesn't make our demands any less valid.
Been a while since Striker has given us thread fodder. Loyalty isn't dead after all. He's even helping us get to 1000 pages.

Yesterday I was just musing with my friend about not having seen the Mr.Majoritah for quite some time. Woops
Oh yes, obviously. I was just listing out what we could’ve gotten in main game. Urianger did that in 5.0 lemme do that too smh.

I mean that this would be the devs’ defense.
‘We can’t do that in the main game because we have 4 healers not 2 so it’s impossible to balance’. As if all 4 healers have existed since the game’s inception lol.
Which begs of question of how FFXIV, a game owned by a multi billion dollar well-reputed company, is being developed by two unpaid hostages in Yoshi-P’s basement.
I guess Tencent has like, actual game developers working for them? lol.

First of all, I know you've followed this enough so that by now, you should have realized that the issues being discussed are complex, so you're aware that there are multiple points of view, i.e. opinions. So why would you expect that there would be a "uniform clue what *they* wanted"?They do care about healers - they just have a different vision for them than the people going on "strike", who had no uniform clue what they wanted, contradicted each other, and even if they were all on the same page were so minuscule in number that they didn't warrant fundamentally changing the game to listen to. The answer is clear - the "strike" was a complete failure.
Secondly, how we we know they (presumably Square) "cares about healers"? What do you consider to be "caring"? I would agree that it does not have to equate to my vision of healers, however I would like to know what their vision and roadmap is for healers. I would also like to see some acknowledgment of user feedback and interaction with the community, in live letters, forums, etc., instead of silence.
So unfortunately- your post is just another copy/paste of your prior posts that fails to add anything to the discussion.

I have not effectively played a healer role, or anything else since mid July. I have mained WHM for 10+ years now, probably won’t change until retirement.
Healing is what I do but every time I try to come back and try a trial or dungeon, 95% of what I do is dps and not healing.
I want to heal and not dps, is that such a crazy idea? Playing a healer job because I love healing?
I have so little to heal as a healer, it sucks the fun out of the game. This current version of the game bores me to the point where I just sigh and sign out. I remember the glory days of Brayflox Hard where it was a challenge to keep everybody alive on the first pull and what a rush it was when it worked. Those were the days…
This little goblin hiding here behind the bush apparently is trying to say something…
Weary healers, no need to heal this fight, no heals needed to live and fight.
Ho the end… it comes!
The dps, you dps!

I don't see why anyone would ever think SE would directly acknowledge the strike. That would be a PR nightmare.
If they do make any changes (which I'm finding difficult to belive) they'll just say some player feedback influenced them.

No chance they are actually going to make any changes, but it's still worth ranting so when player numbers plummet we can say we told you so
