I wasn't trying to dig at you for that again. I was pointing out the general state of the community discussion.

Some raiders blame RPers, some casuals blame raiders, some RPers blame the hidden modders.

It would be nice if people just admitted that we're just not being given enough content longevity rather than tearing into each other for scraps.

Anyway, as for the healer situation, I'm apathetic to it. I've already basically quit healing anyway. If they manage to surprise us in 8.0, great, if not, then it is what it is.

Yeah, there's a lot of finger pointing on who is to blame for the current state of the game. The truth is it's clearly not any of the playerbase.

The problem lays exclusively at the feet of Square Enix. We're getting a lot less content for our money than we did when FFXIV was still young. We're not in maintenance mode but we're close.

As far as the healer situation, I'm more depressed about it than apathetic. Before now, I gained a lot of satisfaction and enjoyment out of healing.

I love playing support jobs more than any other role. I've even gone into full backup healer mode on Red Mage in progression raids in prior expansions because that helped everyone out for more than sticking to dealing damage.

Now, tanks and several damage dealers are self sufficient enough that healing is barely needed in a lot of duties. Heck, if I wanted to waste the time, I could just let the tanks carry the entire party, and let all the other characters repeatedly die, self rez and run back, until after the final boss is downed. How in the blazes did we even get here?

I don't know what I'd do if the proposed 8.0 job rework turns out to have been smoke and mirrors and healers get more of the same. I don't have a house so I'm not constrained to stay.

Can't wait for the day we find out all the job changes in FFXIV are because some clueless exec is telling them to do stuff based on their kid's awful ideas or something like that.

Oh. You mean like what happens in Hollywood and most of the publishing houses nowadays. There's always some exec trying to justify their job while not reading the material and throwing out vague suggestions to change things.

While I don't believe it's like that in Creative Studios III, I do think they're only listening to fellow employees, friends, and family members, while neglecting to listen to over five year's worth of feedback from the playerbase.

Yeah, we may disagree a lot. But, specific concerns and suggestions have regularly cropped up since Stormblood. Someone should have been passing this information to CS III rather than sitting on it. If it's discovered that it's been been buried because of Japanese culture, and their general tendency to not do anything different from anyone else for fear of ostracashion, I'm going to be really disappointed.

Instead of radio silence or complete transparency why not have fake leaks? Show them ideas of what your thinking, but be able to completely deny it.

I can already know in my heart that 8.0 is gonna be a lie. I still haven't seen anything worthy of them saying they're enhancing the fight design

The devs got a lot of love and trust from all of their openness and engagement from 1.x through the 2.x series.

All of that is being burned with a proverbial flamethrower ie. silence, corporate style messaging and no engagement.

Really, just think about it, we get more engagement from politicians than the devs at this point. If I send a politician’s office a question, I’ll get an answer. I may not like the answer but I will always get one.

Well, at this point it doesn't really matter anymore : 6 month old thread with 988 pages and 9879 response (well 9880 with mine).... And still not ackownlegment from SE/CBU3

The answer is clear : they don't give a sh*t about healer. period.

And i don't think this will change soon...

While I absolutely agree they simply don’t seem to care about the healer issues…it won’t stop me complaining about them!

But go ahead, i won't try to stop you. I'm just stating a blatant and insulting fact.

Personally i stoped playing ASt and SCH in favor of WHM ... Because why bother with strategy, planning, buff etc... When in the end you achieve about the same result with some lillies, Asylum, Divine Favor and Tetagram.

Oh, and if you wonder where is SGE... it sit here : in the trash bin.

Just wanna say, I find it hilarious that in FFXIV Mobile version 'gameplay' demo, all the spellcasters (therefore, healers incl) gets their ranged auto-attack before the main FFXIV's get theirs lmao.
