Not harder directly. He was talking about stress... so they added some one-shot-like mechanics that will kill you in some DT dungeons if you are going the first time and unaware. So they wiped way more players than before and probably are happy with how "stressful" the experience was

The real stress is healer mains seeing DPS gain ability heals to make them well and truly redundant.

In my case, DPS asked me why I was hard-casting Cure 2s... next to 4 vuln stacks they had in total already

I mean at this point this thread is just content at this point. Whatever useful information that could be taken from the thread has been.

Ball is in SE's hands now, and only time will tell if anything will come of it. I fall in the not holding my breath camp but wish everyone the best.

Just going to add- came back after a couple year break and DT and healing are crap....so canceled again. I like PICT and I like WAR, but generally prefer healing in games, so maybe I will come back if/when DT is skippable or healing is fun again. Otherwise, I am looking forward to Visions of Mana. At this point, I think FF is kind of just good for a hit of nostalgia as the IP really isn't the same anymore. (For me, but I'm old)

I mean this is a fun thread you get non healer players who never go to the healer section of the forums come in here to talk about a role they don't care nor know anything about. It's just really funny.

Two thoughts:

Fusefield requires some modicum of heal CD planning at min ilvl. Cannons to a lesser extent so.

Everything else is a borefest that can be solved without even planning your heal and mit oGCDs. And most of the checks are still mit checks.

Their encounter design team is quite obviously no longer designing for a trinity. They're designing for 8 players dancing through a script. Split into 2 groups of 4 called Team A and Team B that group together or pair up in different ways to solve mechanics.

Modern trinity survives not by the grace of tankbusters or heal checks but by the grace of light party stacks and pair stacks.
