I got baited and went into Dawntrail with my beloved main, WHM. While some of the dungeons and both extreme trials were nice for the first time, when no one had gear, literally nothing has changed otherwise.

I legitimately caught myself falling asleep while farming the extremes a couple days ago. There's no way I can or want to do this for another 2+ years. ASTs rework being literal dog water doesn't give me hope for future expansions either.

Unsubbed and uninstalled. After 11 years I can say with confidence that this game isn't for me anymore. Wasn't for a while but patience and giving the benefit of doubt only goes that far.

So in a sense I'm joining the strike - by quitting the game for good. Voting with one's wallet is always the best discourse.

To anyone else - godspeed and may you find fun and joy in other jobs, or aspects of this game.

I don't really play healer so not well versed in this topic, would swapping some of the extra heals for more dps spells work? I assume a potency rework may be needed if so.

WHM’s problem is it brings nothing to the table

AST is a stronger pure healer than WHM and both pure healers pale in comparison to the shield healers in terms of the type or healing that 14 rewards. Yet WHM has nothing to compensate this. Chunky pure healing is near worthless in this game and hilariously SCH can now do it better than WHM anyway. It has no non damage utility (like expedience or smudge) it has no buffs, its mitigation is weak and wonky and its damage rarely goes above anything besides SGE except fights with a large amount of downtime

Basically the problem is WHM is playing a different game. Misery being neutral sorta fixed this by making lilys proxy oGCD’s but since WHM brings nothing to the table besides its raw healing power it just doesn’t bring anything to the raid because the style of “plenary asylum temperance cure 3” healing just doesn’t exist in this game

Medica is near redundant because medica 2 only needs to tick once to do more healing than medica 1, cure 2 should just upgrade from cure 1, aquaveil and bension should just be one button and you could bake plenary into some combo of temperance, asylum and just the default potency of your skills. That frees up 4 buttons

Here we go again. Can people please make their mind up already? Are we stupid plebs with skill issues who have no right to talk because we haven't achieved some arbitrary milestone, or are we too elite to understand the casual? Which is it? Because it can't be both.

I have heard peoples side. I've responded to people who are actually engaging instead of "you troll", "your favorite job sucks zzzzz" or "blah blah blah raiding blah blah blah".
