The JP community doesnt have a problem with healers or their design. Their solution to if you dont like how healers are or want more dps buttons then go play a dps job. And the answer to if you want more incoming damage go play ultimate. To where your gameplay loop at lower level and casual content up to savage can be solely dependent on other players messing up.

The JP community isn't a monolith. There are healers there who would like to actually have something to heal, just like here. Not to mention, they're maybe a third of the playerbase if we're being generous. And before you say "but SE listens to them" let me assure you they do not. We keep saying it on the English forums but the Japanese forums say SE only listen to EN.

As has been explained many times before, healing doesn't become harder in Savage. It's only fun during prog before you memorise the fight, then it's right back to spamming your one DPS button and waiting for the boss to cast an extremely infrequent raidwide. But that whole argument is stupid anyway because what you're saying is that you're fine with the vast majority of content being painfully boring for most people.

You are the ones who have the problem with the current healer jobs. A stance that is not universal. It's your responsibility to explain and prove why healers are in an apparently horrendous place. You have to prove to the devs you're right and that others are wrong.

May I point you in the direction of the 'Summary of Healer Issues' thread? All the problems have been discussed very extensively over the years, by a lot of people. The devs should also have all the internal data on hand to verify the truth of everything being discussed, from the lack of healing requirements to spending 60-90% of our casts on our filler spell, they can confirm it by simply checking their data.

We've already made clear our problems over the years, if you actually aren't here just to make a fuss, go take a look at the summary thread linked in the OP. There's also been several people who have created their own personal redesigns of each healer job all over the healer forums.

There's been tons of feedback and discussion about the issues already, and the fact that you can't even be bothered to click the link and look at it before smugly telling us to actually talk about the issues is frankly insulting.

That’s a different problem than the majority of the feedback on our forums (we want SB healers) but they also aren’t really being catered to besides their weird insistence that healers have to be the easy role

It really does make me wonder where they get their feedback from at this point. JP complains that we're the ones being listened to, while we keep saying that JP is the one being listened to. Part of me thinks it may be closer to Reddit or Twitter instead. Reddit has a bad habit of downvoting negative opinions off of the subreddit to the point that the feedback just simply doesn't exist, leaving only positive results, while Twitter is more concerned with GPosing, screenshots, clubs/venues, etc. (at least from what I've seen of Twitter FFXIV). If those are the ones they're listening to, it's no wonder we're in this situation, but I can't really say definitely if those 2 places are their primary audience at this point.

tbf healers only get punished if the team is doing well so there's no incentive to heal better.

Except this isn't the case in casual gameplay. I've been doing most of the roulettes as heals the past couple days, with random, typical players, and I'm healing a lot. Typical tank doing the typical 2-pack pull would probably drop dead at least half the time if I didn't actively heal. Heck, I've had to break out the whole kit sometimes, not to mention when DPS (and sometimes myself) stop paying attention to our footing and stand in bad places. I feel like the "problem" is that for many of us, the community we interact with grows smaller and ends up only including people of similar experience and skill as us, and then of course things seem easy. But that's not the norm for the typical player doing the typical DF run, and that's what needs to be taken into account from a design perspective.

God like I actually feel the healer veterans not playing the role when I didn’t want to heal myself and helped a friend lvl after he helped me. And lord in heaven from the 15 healer, 5 we’re decent ones. I had a physic spamming sch when I as war was full hp. Or and perma shielding and diagnosis spamming sage. And the moment these people have to actually heal the party in scary situations go mind blank and do nothing at all

Also reading what some people write in this thread without even reading the strike post carefully or complete yapping when they don’t even touch healer with thick rubber gloves is kinda funny.
