Because why engage with counterpoints when they could just poison the well instead?

Between the accusations of mass reports against dissenting opinions (no evidence for this by the way) and people claiming to support the strike by being a menace in DF (the fact they queued for DF with randoms as a healer already means they aren't striking), people just want to stir up trouble without actually looking into things themselves.

Why think for yourself when you could just parrot your favourite content creator? Why concede that maybe the strike has a point when you could just poison the well? Why would you be civil and say "I merely disagree and find the healers fine" when you could say "I think you guys are embarrassing / hilarious / stupid / childish / casual / no-lifers" and then wonder why people think you're toxic?

I'm not a part of the Discord, but even I'm a bit skeptical of this. If such a thing had taken place, would you not now be incapable of participating in this thread? Barring that, why would you make such a claim and provide no evidence whatsoever as to its verity? I can only imagine that if anyone in the Discord had made plain their intent to mass report you or anyone else, screenshots (at the very least) would have come to light by now. Mind you, I don't doubt even remotely that what you claim to have experienced is possible, but even were your claims truthful, the actions of the minority (which are entirely out of our control) are meaningless as far as this discussion is concerned.

Our complaints remain the same, and the (alleged) actions of the unsavory few hold no sway, save to emotionally manipulate the undecided into disregarding our concerns entirely. If you have a compelling counter-argument, provide it. Otherwise, your input here serves to mislead at worst, and distract from the actual discussion at best.

I got a 7 day ban for calling someone narcissistic. First and only time I have been banned from these forums and that is the only comment that was removed. So yeah I'm going to say mass reporting shenanigans because I didn't 100% support the strike.

Square doesn't remove based on automation; it doesn't matter how many times someone gets reported, if the moderators don't find you at fault they leave the post up. The fact you resorted to calling someone a narcissist is enough for them to slap you with a ban. No mass report required, and if you're going to accuse people of mass reporting, you need more evidence than "well, I got banned for name calling when I called someone a name".

Sis, do you need a ladder for how far you're reaching? None of this has ever happened. The worst I've seen in this entire thread is people getting a little snarky.

Other than reminders to report the ones that’s genuinely being disruptive and/or malicious as per ToS & forum regulation, I do not remember anybody calling for mass reporting against contrarians specifically.

you know, you can join the discord as well if you are paranoid about it. there have been zero requests to mass report anyone on the official forums nor anywhere else. I would need to see what proof you have of this since it would be important to know if someone is actually doing this. even the discord has many differing opinions and they can easily be discussed.

so, if you are going to spread something like this, I would like to see proof of it, since it would affect many peoples participation as it allegedly affected yours.
