The problem is Mr Flower that if we make the easiest content in the game challenging enough to force the casual playerbase to learn how their characters work and actually play the game properly, they'll just cry and leave instead of actually challenging themselves. It happens EVERY TIME ANY GAME DOES THIS. I'm not saying I think healers should only have a challenge in harder content, I'm saying its not possible if square wants to keep a playerbase.

There is a lot of wiggle room between glare spam and a dot and 'too complicated for noobs.' Nobody is demanding perfect healer dps from dungeons or normal mode raids/trials anyway. Heck there are people who are bad at dps and tank too that get by without doing rotations properly. They could do the same on moderately more involved healer damage as long as they keep the party alive.

There was someone from JP commenting here some time ago.
He came here after someone from here had posted about this Strike on the JP forum and he got a little curious and asked some stuff.
Mostly tried to understand why people Strike.
Appears the translation wasn't that well done and didn't leave the best of impression.

He mentioned that most people who read said post didn't understand why people would Strike and thought it to be excessive.

The Japanese forums have been reasonably balanced if you wish to go in and take a peek . I did provide a small list of quotes from the main healer strike thread on JP forums. It should be here somewhere on this thread.

I think I saw it while it was still a "new" post.
And yeah, when that guy from JP was here chatting a little was some time ago, so wouldn't be surprised if they have started talking more about this since.
He did however mention that there were those who ofc could agree, even he himself, that Healers didn't have much to do during times when no one was damaged.
They simply thought that creating a Strike over it was excessive. But they could agree on that Healers might not be in the best of spots when it comes to fullfilling job role.

It multi-part from what I've heard. They don't agree with the course of action with the strike. That being said, they agree that the state of healing could be a lot better. They are alright with it at the moment but believe there is much room for it to i.prove. That being said, they want the healing to be more in depth.

Been just following this silly thread since a couple days and YT shoving healer strike vids into my face also kept me up to date. I've started playing shortly before EW dropped. I have been a healer ever since. I do savage when I get fc or friends to form a group I can join (I ain't ever gonna touch pf hell) and I've been enjoying healer all this time. I play 99.9% exclusively as Sage and I still love the hell outta that job.
If there's anything I would like to change, it's just more chances to use heals more often. I don't want more dps, just more healing situations. But if you run daily roulettes, theres plenty of runs where you get to heal a crapton, because people are new and don't know how to play or dodge or whatever the hell is going on.

I personally never had much of an issue and I certainly won't strike. You go and stop playing your healers, while I enjoy even faster ques as healer /shrug

You guys are hilarious. Healer queue is already instant due to a lack of healers.
