If the only thing preventing a Party Wipe is whether Medica 2 is used or not, there are bigger problems with the group. Either someone is taking avoidable damage to such an extent you have to burn all your lilies to compensate or your party isn't using their mitigation properly, either way, Medica 2 isn't going to save the run.

I have zero faith that the devs will even blink an eye. They have ignored tanks and healers for years and we've basically have to live in a toxic relationship bc they'll throw us a bone/crumb of positive change and then make nonsensical terrible changes.
Healer role has all but been an afterthought. The healers have been lacking any creativity and we're only getting by on sfx.
So unless the dps community starts feeling the same treatment, things will be as usual. Nothing has changed since Stormblood and it hasn't changed til this very day.
Launch will happen. AST and SCH will feel awful to play and/or weak while WHM will feel super good or downright mind-numbingly weak. SGE may escape the troubles but that's bc it's a new healer, the devs will destroy it in the following patches and definitely on the next xpac.
Players will complain about how boring it is and get silence.
Then dps players complain about the long queue times enough for them to make buffs to fix what they nerfed and probably overbuff SCH and AST.
Same song and dance. It's sad but I've been around long enough to witness it.
If they say anything its going to just be a fall back to "Job identity coming 8.0 please look forward to it"
And to be fair, I understand there's a limit to what can be done now or in the near future. I think if we got a genuine reaction and a promise to ensure a better experience in 8.0, I can accept that to a point. But I do think there are things that can happen now that may not fully address every issue, but can work toward making the role more enjoyable for Dawntrail. I just don't want to wait an entire expansion to see any change at all.
Sage has failed to live up to the fantasy of a sci-fi DPS healer. Please change this for 8.0. Make Sage fast, exciting, and aggressive. It should feel like a healer that plays like a DPS. Empower the aspects of Sage's unique healing mechanics: Kardia and Eukrasia to give its healing playstyle more identity.

In the current state the 4 healers are in in the media tour (and I’m not saying this because it’s a my main) SCH is going to absolutely evicerate the other 3 and it’s not even going to be close
SCH was generally regarded as the strongest healer in EW because of its capacity to basically always have more mitigation than anyone else and cheese more mechanics than anyone else with spreadlo and expedience
How did the devs decide to fix SCH- they buffed its raid buff, they buffed its personal damage extensively, they gave it 50% more uses of its strongest cooldown (recitation) and they added a button that completely deletes its one real weakness (seraphism removes its weakness to many medium damage hits in a row such as harrowing hell)
Meanwhile SGE got another regen it doesn’t need, WHM got an extender to its already super wonky mitigation that has to be used inside its current wonky mitigation and AST got the ability to press one of its two mitigations without needing to GCD heal anymore
Like the devs seem to have zero idea how high end healer balance works as they gave the biggest buffs to the strongest healer, SCH is an unmitigated monster
As a healer main in this game for nigh on 14 years all I can say is that I’m tired. My role has been eroded of complexity and expression for 3 expansions. I’ve watched the tanks do my role for me for 2 expansions and my feedback and critiques continue to fall on deaf ears.
I have no idea who modern healers are designed for but I know now it’s not me. This is the first expansion I’m truly considering dropping the healer role and not returning, so if that was the goal- congratulations I guess

No you will be an unbalanced healing monster and spam Broil, have a cheap angel costume that covers your only weakness instead. SGE shall have the spread DoT.
I’ll say this: I’ll withhold judgement until 7.2. If in 7.2 when we’re supposedly getting more interesting encounters I am still mashing glare/broil/malefic/dosis 130+ times in savage content then I’ll just quit the role entirely.
I am going to level sage fairly early and play it a bit since the devs have somewhat relented given the aoe dot, new ogcd, and philosophia. Frankly I think more people playing SGE would send more of a message than a strike. If fewer people are healing the devs can chalk that up to any number of things. If a shitload of people are playing sage more than the others, they can directly see that and assume why.
To those of you who are snickering and giggling about how you’ll just enjoy your fast queue times and whatnot, what do you actually find enjoyable about healer gameplay in 14 anyway? I’m genuinely asking.
