Oh hey OP you made it to reddit, they're calling you out with parses and say you just need to do savage and ultimate if you're not happy with healers.

Healers: provides logs from savage and ultimates
Raiders: I'm gonna pretend I didn't see that
Them looking at just Gemina not having parses shows the community's true image. If you need parses to criticize boring healer gameplay, then the argument holds no merit. I find it very strange they only focus on Gemina, but ignore other raiders who share similar thoughts regarding healer issues.
It's a few pages back but here's one example. I can try search for more if I have the time.
The ironic thing is, the first comment still points out that even the uh "shit players" (their words not mine) notice how bad the role is.Raiders: haha this person didn't do savage/ultimate what the hell can they say about healing

Play savage/ultimate and say the role is boring: "But poor Johnny Casual can't play the dungeons if you give him extra DPS spells he can ignore if he struggles to heal!"
Play casual content and say the role is boring: "You should go play ultimate, dungeons don't matter, ignore that we still have to press Glare for 60-80% of the fight."
It's a never ending cycle that can't be won and shifts the goal posts.

Healers have been neglected for 3 expansions now and this needs to be rectified with the following:
- An engaging DPS kit beyond a nuke and DoT.
- Increased incoming damage so we have more to heal.
- Distinctive playstyles amongst the healers.
- Some nerfs to non-healer heals, we shouldn't be replaceable.

And once again we have circled back to the "just play harder content" argument to which I'd reply that you shouldn't have to do the hardest content in the game to have as much fun as other classes in normal content relatively speaking. (Yes, normal mode is not as challenging but healers are not even at the level of fun/lack thereof that other classes are on.)Oh hey OP you made it to reddit, they're calling you out with parses and say you just need to do savage and ultimate if you're not happy with healers.

It's probably better actually than just trying to treat healers as one unit. You'd actually have statistics about what players prefer instead of trying to assume what they want by just... allowing them to choose.
Hot take though, I think it should be Sage. Not only does Sage lack an established background, being born in the ShB healer design, but Kardia/Pneuma could easily serve as the foundation for a kit focused on incidental healing ideal for those struggling to balance healing and damage and get them thinking about healer damage as important and meaningful. The unlock level of 70 would encourage trying out "harder" healers first instead of just having all newer players crammed into the square hole while 60-70 is about when kits normally start getting complicated anyway.
My hot take would be to have AST be the nuke spammer, it's always had a barebones damage kit and was 1 nuke + DoT back in SB, but it made up for it with the cards. That said I still would rather they get something for its damage kit.Hot take though, I think it should be Sage. So i have an idea, to make this more effective every healer main go to limsa around the aethercurrent and uldah thing etc and use self destruction, spread the power of the puddle if we can cover all the main citys with piles of corpses they will have to listen.
