This is my true final message, because I'm out of patience, regardless of any provocative statements. I never imagined that FFXIV would have so many individuals with questionable behavior and morals playing. Some of you tarnish its reputation for being a friendly and nurturing environment. Shame on you for lacking basic empathy. With people like some of those who support this movement, it is doomed. This should be regarded as a scandal.

to take care of, feed, and protect someone or something, especially young children or plants, and help him, her, or it to develop: She wants to stay at home and nurture her children. Which means, you care for people and help them learn even if it requires you being a little mean, if anything we are following that very aspect by defination

I did the burn the day it came out. As warrior, my main at the time. Back then I didn’t know what a GCD was. I didn’t know what a rotation was. Was it hard? Yeah. Did we wipe on the last boss a few times? Yeah. Was it insanely fun? Absolutely.

That's really put a bad taste in my mouth tbh. One of my statics has a person in it who does Extreme content but is suffering from a disease that's causing her to lose her ability to play the game. Everyone who plays with her knows she won't be able to play at maximum efficiency and will die a lot and fail her rotation but we are fine with it, she also agrees that the healing role isn't very good because the healers often only focus on her which she sees as a clear problem.
It's really gross that just because you don't agree with a movement you parade someone around to object to that point, that's really vile.

I haven't done more than a tiddlywink of healing in my 4 year tenure of playing. But making healers useless is wack. I don't know what they are trying to accomplish here. They're not idiots, they know what they're doing and they know the general expected consequences (both positive and negative) and likely expected this kind of backlash. But at the same time, what in the hell is the point of it all? That's what's totally unclear to me and maddening; if their plan is actually to just make healers worthless then what the heck???

My concern is that a healers' strike doesn't affect the dev team or Square very much. It affects players, which is great for raising awareness in the player base, and hopefully adds more participants. I think it's just a shame that the forums are practically the only channel we can physically send feedback and thoughts and complaints...but it doesn't seem to do much, and the issues have to be pushed to literal live letters when there's a Q&A, only to receive less of an answer and more of a skirt-around-the-issue. Occasionally making a fuss on social media works to at least get the team's attention.

I think the devs are indeed awesome at listening to and responding to their playerbase, especially when compared to other MMOs and online games, but they need to pay much more attention and dedicate more resources to the ins-and-outs of job-related thoughts, feedback, suggestions, and complaints more often, not just general features, like glamour dressers, and UI. Or at least be more transparent with how they handle the feedback offered in the forums and other avenues, and a bit more responsive on the forums themselves.

We don't need a letter from Yoshi-P himself every time but a bit of back-and-forth conversation would be nice. As for the forum moderators - you're all wonderful. You're doing a great job.

They have level 90 everything so...who knows lol.

I have zero faith that the devs will even blink an eye. They have ignored tanks and healers for years and we've basically have to live in a toxic relationship bc they'll throw us a bone/crumb of positive change and then make nonsensical terrible changes.

Healer role has all but been an afterthought. The healers have been lacking any creativity and we're only getting by on sfx.

So unless the dps community starts feeling the same treatment, things will be as usual. Nothing has changed since Stormblood and it hasn't changed til this very day.

Launch will happen. AST and SCH will feel awful to play and/or weak while WHM will feel super good or downright mind-numbingly weak. SGE may escape the troubles but that's bc it's a new healer, the devs will destroy it in the following patches and definitely on the next xpac.

Players will complain about how boring it is and get silence.

Then dps players complain about the long queue times enough for them to make buffs to fix what they nerfed and probably overbuff SCH and AST.

Same song and dance. It's sad but I've been around long enough to witness it.
