If I didn't know you were striking I never would have guessed. It has not effected me in a single way since the release of DT and there are thousands of healers online 247 playing the game. This is not a good way to get what you want and you are only effecting yourself and your enjoyment but go off.

Please explain to me how, as a healer, the healer strike is affecting my enjoyment of the game. I’d love to know.

Please tell me how swapping to a different role and having more fun with the game is only negatively affecting myself?

Could you also explain why my DF queues and PF reclear parties for the current EX's are always waiting on healers to fill last?

So, if it hasn't affected you, fair enough, so you've expressed some concern over healer mains however you (a) haven't provided a better way to get what healer mains could want (although I doubt you know what that is), feel free to make a suggestion on what would be a better way.

Nor have you explained why this thread affects healers mains nor their enjoyment - in my case, nope, it hasn't. Not after years of providing feedback only to have not even a "we heard and read it".

Lets not forget that the forums are always read by small minority of the playerbase and even less of them actually take part in writing in them. My personal guess, your average "log in, do a roullete, log out" healer Joe at best has heard of the healer strike and doesnt care. At worst hasn't even heard about it and carries on as usually.

I find it very unlikely that they haven't heard of it. I barely browsed the forums before DT but even as a casual fan of FF content creators that I watch once in a blue moon, I heard about it. Hell, for a time you could google "FF14 healer" and it was the first result. People meme on the healer strike and joke about it even in duties, and even though that might be bad publicity for the strike, it's still publicity.

You just have a situation where a lot of people don't care if healing is too easy--or if anything, they welcome that braindead play. I imagine there's no shortage of tanks or healers that do those roles simply for the quick queue times, not to actually play the role "properly".

Well thats what the "silent majority is". The loudest people will always be in the minority. Thats pretty much for every gaming community where people just log in, play a bit and log off without giving a care on whats buffed/nerfed, what ceo did what and etc..and rarely if ever reads any forums/news regarding it.
People who yell for or against whatever issue are always be in the minority cause not many people will develop a passion for a video game where others sees as "some random pixels to waste 1-2hs in an evening.

I have to say that the strike has affected me greatly!

not maining a healer this expansion has allowed me to very much enjoy being DPS. yes, I could have been a better healer than many currently filling the roles to have faster queue times, but, I am enjoying my job, at least until SE kills dps as well in order to make things less stressful for the poor dps jobs.

I think it would be cool if there was a ground cleanse, or healers can make larger safe spots during certain raid aoe mechanics with their bubbles or some spell or other. They don't have to be required, but the safe spot is harder to get to or something without their ground cleanse.

I also think healers should interact more with the boss. So for example the boss has a debuff that gives a debuff to the raid, the healer has to cleanse the boss to cleanse the raid. Or the boss puts the group under some kind of mind control and the healer has to break it. Similar to Dun Scaith, or build upon that. When that fight comes up in the roulettes, you have to pay attention regardless of your level or the raid wipes. It keeps people's attention better I think.

Healers should get their own markers, like tanks have tank busters, healers could have a requirement to clear it that includes some purify or cleansing spell. We only have one spell for purify, esuna, maybe play around with that to bring a new element to the fights.

As far as dps rotation goes it would be nice if there were more options for a damage rotation, dot, damage, aoe is pretty boring. Having certain damage spells be available when certain affects are on the gauge would be fun, someone mentioned that. When I cast spell a, it adds a gauge dot and if I cast damage spell it does one effect, if i have 2 dots it does something else, and if i have 3 dots something else. Or having something like the redmage gauge, where you have a heal bar that fills and a damage bar that fills, and you get spells based on how much that gauge is filled. White mage is already this way a little bit, but expand on it.
