I HAVE. The only harder content I haven't touched yet is Ultimate. The most fun I had healing in the entirety of Endwalker was progging Thordan Unreal, which I feel says a lot.

Extreme and Savage are only challenging for healers during prog when things are going south and sometimes in reclears in PF with clueless randos, otherwise it's a snoozefest of Excel sheet gaming where all you do is try to remember how you scheduled the mits with your co-healer and spam 1-1-1. You still don't use 75% of your kit.

I ended up taking over doing callouts for our FC static because at least *that* gave me something to do.

The vast majority of you are calling healing in this game easy because you're comparing it to tanks and DPS in content where enrages don't exist for the DPS to fail and tanks have to go out of their way to die. Yes, healing is boring when you don't have to think. You don't get to practice doing difficult content in alliance raids the way DPS do because your difficulty comes from the content

We are doing exactly what you suggest which is not doing the easy content anymore. Thank you for your support!

The point of the strike is to stop doing DF content as a healer, while making an individual choice if we want to heal for a static or not. By the way, I did try savage once, and I was still spamming the same button and realised I would only spam the button more if I tried to get better and aim higher. So I'd rather not schedule my life around a game only to be rewarded with more boring gameplay.

Suddenly if you want to have fun as a healer in XIV, you are required to do EX/Savage/Ultimate.

Healing in this game is pretty much the only time in an MMO I've seen where optimizing your gameplay leads to a dramatic decrease in fun.

Not everyone* is asking for complex dps rotations, though. I'm pretty sure even an Aero III dot would change healer downtime by a bit. You'd get to check 2 dots with different timers, while keeping everyone alive.
It worked before in Stormblood, why should it not now?

Many* players struggle using their full dps kit and tank mitigations and somehow those roles dont get stripped down. Odd.
Then again, it's difficult to nitpick here. I think, catering the healers to one audience, in this case casuals, hurts the overall gameplay.

Majority of players can't even keep their GCD rolling. Might as well remove GCDs and make the game about autoing.
