I'll add a +1.
I've effectively been boycotting for the last 15 months - only popping in to say hi during Free Logins - I wasn't very polite in the survey they sent out last November either.
I effectively issued an ultimatum: I want some clear indication that they will improve Healer design by DT (preferably in DT), or I will never give them another cent.
YoshiP's off hand remark that they "looking at job design in 8.0" during the 81st PLL is genuinely the only reason I haven't permanently uninstalled the game out of sheer and utter apathy.
The PLL otherwise confirmed that DT will be ShB 3.0, and I genuinely cannot tolerate another 3 years of such unengaging job design around healers; the others aren't exactly doing much better, but they're nowhere near as dire a state as healers are.
As for my me, I started playing late in Stormblood, as a Conjurer, mistaking the highly elemental focused description as being more of a "Black Mage" and not the White Mage precursor.
WHM though was really boring until you started getting access to the Lillies - which I couldn't because my level cap back then was 50.
After hitting the cap, I decided to try the other healer I could access as I had gotten quite comfortable in the role.
The difference was stark; juggling multiple dots, having Aetherflow as early as level 8 to dish out Energy Drains (that actually packed a punch back then too), unlike WHM, it was just so much fun, and I immediately considered myself a Scholar main since.
Then about a month later ShB arrived, and I was gutted that every single healer became a simplified version of Stormblood's WHM.
I mained AST for the bulk of ShB; AST with Noct Sect was the only thing that came close to giving me a similar dopamine rush as Stormblood's SCH did.
I ended the expansion playing Red Mage, and I was genuinely having way more fun and felt way more engagement as a healer dual casting Verraise in Bozja, than I did throughout nearly all of EW.
That is just sad.
SGE changed nothing, but Phlegma and Icarus was kind of neat though.
I don't care that much about the other jobs, but I really want SCH to regain its DoTs from Stormblood.

Lol I'm actually amused this is still going on. Go on "strike". You pretty expendable and we got healers everywhere.
Personal opinions aside on the state of healing in FF14 (I'm what you call a casual healer, mostly play healer in casual settings as SGE for roulettes or SCH for PVP) I can see where many complaints and concerns lie.
I'm mostly impartial to the movement but wish you all well for the changes you want to make your primary jobs more fun an engaging.
While the "Strike" is a little ill defined in terms of coming up with a concrete list of requests (as everyone has their own opinion on how the jobs should function) I would, at the very least, like to draw your attention to the fact that there is a little be of conversation happening on youtube.

Take that as you will. Either way, have a nice day!

It's pretty funny how active this thread is for how much they say it's pointless. Every time I come back it's got like 10 more pages since the last I checked.
Very true! So hopefully questioning their hostile negativity brings them back for more engagement.
