    A true healer strike wherein the game actually suffers do to lack of healer participation in duties can only be responded to in two ways due to forced comps:
    1. They fix the healer issue
    2. They remove forced comps

    And while the second option would seem like the direction they would go based on their decision making history, it does not come without severe consequences that forces an overhaul of encounter design. The question becomes which hill are they willing to die on?

    So because you have anxiety you want healers to have to do essentially nothing except maybe once per minute. Like you don't want to heal or dps. You just want to occupy space in a party, am i getting that right?

    Sure, I'll participate in a healer strike, but like, it needs to actually become a thing. That means organizing it and spreading it across multiple platforms of social media. Start a twitter hashtag, and actually get people to get involved. Maybe start a discord group and set up events like queue flooding where large groups of players queue for the same roulette over and over all as DPS and tanks across multiple hours, Or in-game sit-ins. People have done that kind of stuff before for different reasons.

    I'd try and get things started myself, but when I say stuff like that it just gets ignored.

    Sage has failed to live up to the fantasy of a sci-fi DPS healer. Please change this for 8.0. Make Sage fast, exciting, and aggressive. It should feel like a healer that plays like a DPS. Empower the aspects of Sage's unique healing mechanics: Kardia and Eukrasia to give its healing playstyle more identity.

    Nerf Tank self healing. Remove any self healing from all DPS. Might need a Healer then.

    Until then looks like WAR and 3 DPS is the meta comp for dungeon runs.

    Things like this always start small. The Budlight boycott started with one person. As did Target's. One person initiated #FREESTELLARBLADE.

    What prevents them from taking off is when someone who wants to say something, says nothing.

    Honestly this. I don't see it as a thing that would happen. The player base does not care. A good chunk aren't in it for the gameplay (and that's fine) and some of the ones that are are in favor of these changes and making the role irrelevant.

    I've already for the most part have done my healer strike - barely participate in roulettes and I refused to touch EX/Savage this expac. I'll get this character to 100 because main and then once MSQ is done I'll be playing an ALT that's a tank/dps if not quit the game altogether and go back to WoW.

    I'm tired. Well beyond tired. I'm tired of fighting for a change that's not going to happen because the vast majority don't even want it to happen for garbage reasons they're recycling without even researching the issues.

    I'm tired of being told to wait for post-patches and expansions for fixes and increased healing requirements that are never coming. Healers are not fun in all forms of content like all jobs should be, they're replaced by tanks and dps due to low healing requirements and their dps kit is small for 0 reason, when in the past we had more options and handled things just fine. I refuse to play healer in roulette come DT. I refuse to heal EXs, I refuse to go into Savage, and I am boycotting Ultimate.

    The "perfect" healer who just stands there and does nothing while simultaneously getting carried by the entire party for easy clear.

My guess would be that either the decision of or the approval of this encounter redesign may not have occurred until after the content for 7.0 and 7.1 were already planned. SE seems to have a "no turning back" rule where once something is planned, it's locked in. And you know what, depending on what exactly that entails, I can sympathize, because game design is hard, especially when working on a live service game. But what gets me is actually just the lack of transparency.

    If new encounter design isn't going to be present until 7.2, why wouldn't you say that? Why wouldn't you, when revealing that information to your audience for the first time, clarify when and how this change is taking place. Or why was this news about 8.0 being the "job identity expansion" casually mentioned off-script while talking about Dark Knight? Why wasn't there a slide talking about that since you know how hot of a topic it has been.
