It's not just job design though- of the big announcements so far you have jobs, the graphics rework and the setting/plot, and so far are all polarizing at best. I've been deliberately holding off on preordering so I can send a clear positive signal for something I like, but rn it just seems like they've made everything slightly worse.

I'm just over here waiting to see if the entire expansion blows Endwalker out of the water or not. I've been playing this game for 4 years and have gone through most of what I want to do in the game, achievement or otherwise. Endwalker sunk my motivation to play into the ground due to the choices made regarding the lackluster content provided during the post patches. I miss being in love with the game the same way I was during Shadowbringers and felt a genuine pull to play the game 24/7.

I want the game to do better and not just become a gutted dumbed down version of what it was. That's all. I'm not going to be giving them my money until reviews come out and people have a consensus on the direction the game is heading: the level headed crowd, not the toxic positivity or toxic negativity crowds that seem prevalent these days.

There is no MMO alternative worth playing. And no big upcoming quality AAA game to eat up my spare time either.

If you don't like the job changes like I do, then refund your Dawntrail pre-orders. Send a message to the team that we are not happy with the changes being made to FFXIV's combat.

If I could not pay for later expansions and keep playing the older versions of these jobs I would but sadly CBU3 does not want to make legacy servers so I will just have to leave this game until it becomes better and I suggest you do the same!

Why? Because you say so? This forum is not an authority of anything, only a place of people crying for everything. Jobs are fine. And I will play the hell out of this expansion. I preordered both PC and PS5.

I mean that's not really a fair comparison, you're subbed to a state of the game that you like, they are releasing a really bad expac for several jobs making it a state of the game that's going to be unfun for those players, so yeah it's reasonable to unsub if you're not liking what's coming.
Personally I'm gonna play for a month cause I'm one of the idiots that pre ordered so might as well play the month for the story and then unsub and wait to see if they finally stop lying and actually fix some of the jobs.
