Then I'll see who else I can get to talk about this here. The FC I run would be pretty upset if I couldn't play anymore for something so silly as SE making it impossible for me to pay my sub. As noted by someone else as well, I shouldn't have to keep a foreign bank account just to be able to pay SE, and I shouldn't be stuck if I can't get someone to do me an ongoing repeat favor like buying time cards. Even if changing country would involve having to speak to support directly to deter it being done fraudulently, there absolutely needs to be a way to do it. People move, sometimes for very important reasons like their safety or ability to make a living at all. It makes me wonder if support saying "just start over" even has any understanding of just how much of their lives people put into (and get out of, if they are involved in communities related to it) games like this.

Could also try and get this in front of gaming media outlets. Support telling people to abandon accounts, or in the case of the Right to Rectification all but threatening to delete the account, is not a good look, and if there’s anything that can have a chance to light a fire it’s bad PR about how they handle their loyal subscribers of their golden goose right at peak “gain new subs” time.

The copium I'm huffing has me hoping that Zepla did flag it at the media tour but the response couldn't be shared for media and PR reasons. Maybe Square is formulating a response/fix but want it ironed out before acknowledging?

Another thing I was wondering would be if it is worth sharing posts of people having sub issues due to this from place like Reddit? Especially as without a sub they are unable to post here themselves. It would also help demonstrate the scale of the issue.
But I am not sure if it is allowed to regularly share links from other forums on here?

I think it is allowed to do that since other people have posted links in the past from reddit, or I have seen that people normally copy/paste what people have written on reddit and posted here, so maybe that is the better approach instead of posting the link, and crediting the op/thread name so people can look at it.

On another note, I really think this is frustrating especially with dawntrail coming up soon that they would make such a change. It's like the change with them taxing us even *more* for subs now, it's frustrating and I hope this get's addressed because this is major since people can't even play.

Like others have said, I hope on this forums that this thread is one that stays on the front page instead of silly troll threads since this is pretty important.

ZeplaHQ is currently experiencing this problem. Remains to be seen if she'll find a payment option that works for her. I'm hoping that'll give enough visibility to the issue, but who knows...

Can someone re-share this to Zepla or Reddit? I think Zepla is affected because she moved countries right

How can this issue not be fixed in this day and age? Like this NEEDS to be addressed. There are players all over the world and lives change. Some people move, could be work, could be a fresh start, could be for safety, but people will change countries.

I have friends that may be moving into the future because if they don't they can no longer support themselves. Their jobs or their cost of living is creating a situation where they need to move to a new country and SEs best answer is "Make a new account?" How can that be the response? These characters aren't just pixels on a screen to us, they are our WoLs, our friends. We have grown through this adventure together from our home city to saving all of Etheirys and the shards.

Start from square one? start with nothing? give up all those bonds? those stories? those milestones? those achievements? not to mention any actual monetary investment.

Square Please, we beseech you. Don't let our WoLs get consigned to the void and forgotten because life happens beyond our control? Don't take away our family, our community.... There has to be a way to impliment a way to change country....even if it costs a payment....WE WILL PAY TO SAVE THIS!

I've changed my country of residence. I've been playing for 14 years now, life happens.
I cannot be properly charged sales tax. In fact, I don't even know if I can pay on my next subscription date. We'll find out in about a month. It'll probably deny my card since it needs to confirm my address, which has a new country...
