Ala Mhigo should get a proper city-state

It's been two expansions since we liberated the place and we haven't even gotten a single furnishing item yet. Not to mention the Ala Mhigan Quarter is practically empty with winding corridors leading to dead ends.

Come on, we didn't fight for a series of alleys! Besides, outside of the Royal Menagerie, the ppace could really benefit from a facelift. And, it was originally supposed to be a starting city! Now's the best time to actually make it look that way. Always loved the griffin aesthetic and our revolutionaries should get an actual city, you know, as a treat.

Hell, even the Temple of the Fist! It would be very nice to see more monk stuff especially given how intertwined they are with Gyr Abania. It felt like such a letdown the story never utilized such a cool concept as badass Buddhist-esque punch monks more often.

Before the zone previews for Endwalker I had hopes for it to be a hub city for a future expansion like Ishgard, Kugane, and Crystarium were but I should have known better when the expansion focusing on its liberation featured it for only half of the story and it didn't get the same care Fantasy Japan got, despite the fact it's been a part of the plot since 1.0.

Unfortunately, right? It's odd, in a lot of communities I've joined it seems like everyone agrees how mishandled Ala Mhigo was but nobody seems eager to see that rectified which is a huge bummer when you're as invested as I am in these guys. But, Tibetan/Turkish-styled homes we saw in the dungeon looked BEAUTIFUL and I reallt wanna see more of that. There's no more occupation, let its culture actually shine now.

It's very weird that it just kinda.. drops lol. Why can't we also have Ala Mhigo restoration at the very least?

I know that it isn't the biggest thing, but I would love another Doman restoration-type thing, and Ala Mhigo would be a great location for something like that.

I have no idea. Given Ishgard Restoration was brought about by popular demand, I guess they don't see enough people asking for it. Which is a shame but you can't control what people like.

Ala Mhigo had three zones devoted to it. Four if we count Rhalgr's Reach. The capital city was mostly left intact and whilst it'd be neat to see more of it be explorable, I'd much prefer the next restoration effort to be devoted to Garlemald given the much more dire state that the place has been left in.

I can see Garlemald reconstruction happening, but it would probably end up being the parts of the city we don't have access to considering that part of the zone is covered in hostile mobs and sidequests that involve the survivors interacting with the severely damaged buildings and mobs.

The part in front of the wall will probably be like that forever unfortunately.

What we need is a proper Airship landing. The Far East just got an Airship landing once you beat Endwalker which is great. Going to Ala Mhigo is such a chore and sadly you have to go there a lot often for one quest and then leave and come alllllll the way back
