I've been living in California Beverly Hills since 2013 ... thanks to Square Enix. lmao!

So another update from the data controller, they sent an email very soon after the last one, saying it had been sent in error and to disregard it.. ha
So in the updated reply they say:
This has left me scratching my head. I've not run into payment issues myself yet as my card was added on the old payment system and my sub hasn't come up for renewal yet (and I'm too scared to pause it). But then where are the issues coming from if they say there is no issue? Is there only no issue in EU?
Can people confirm if they're still getting invalid address responses and the region they're in?
They also confirmed the personal data being used by the payment processor:
- Payment card information
- Name
- Contact information
- Billing address
As country of current residence is never data captured by them, there is nothing to be rectified on their end.
Not sure where to go from here honestly..
So my friend who was having this issue just…suddenly isn’t. They went to give it another try and after mogstation got stuck in a loop of not letting them input information, when it finally stopped having that error it just…accepted their card now. Despite the country not matching to the account because it’s a legacy account from FFXI era.
Interesting.
Wondering if they slyly fixed the issue but kept quiet because if they said anything they'd have to acknowledge the problem in the first place.

Keeping an eye on this to see if others had any luck.

They posted on the EU and NA lodestone that they have a fix for debit card issues July 23rd
That is when the true Vana'diel of legend will be reborn.

I'm unsure who came with this idea. Instead of simplifying for players to fatten SE's wallet, seems the company is satisfied with the new subscribers that loyal ones are locked out.
I'm a loyal subscriber, been paying for over 10 years (non-stop), including buying each expansion (preorder), and aside FFXIV store purchased items. After almost 11 years, now my payment method is rejected. How am I supposed to pay now?
Allow me to change my region/address from NA to EU (even if you want me to pay for it). Instead they made it worse.. My country is supported as EU, yet I seen that I lost access to several SE/FFXIV websites/pages and being redirected to an SE-generated "Page Cannot be Found", but with a VPN the page (is found) and loads smoothly like nothing. Why are you locking-out supported regions, SE?
Note: at least MogStation still opens without any issues (or SE-generated "Page Cannot be Found").
My credit card is not accepted anymore, Crysta is also blocked for me via (Credit card, PayPal, and Amazon). I'm not sure if 'Game Time Cards' will work for me (or how long till that option will be locked out as well), but how can I pay for my additional retainers?
I hope this will be resolved to everyone. In region or not, or wrong region alike.

Bumping as well. I am from EU and moved to JP and am now stuck paying in euros while earning in yen. This makes my sub 50% more expensive.
My friend is from the US and also moved to JP and he curses SE every time he has to clear his website cookies on mogstation just so he gets the choice to pay with credit card.
Additionally, we can't participate in any region locked promotions or even attend fanfest even though we live and work here.
Seriously. Are your account databases in physically differing locations and 100% incompatible or something? This is beyond embarrassing.
