The DNC artifact gear has always had different colors and gear models for male and female before and this outfit follows the same design. People will have two dye channels to change the colors how they like. The reason I want this set to stay how it is now, is because out of the two options the vest looks better on male characters and when comparing the outfits on a female frame the red one looks better. Changing either gender's version to match the other would be a downgrade. It is also a part of the job's appearance and design to have male and female characters in different dancing outfits.

The thing is, this is a matter of opinion, not explicit fact. What appeals to you (or doesn't) isn't necessarily the same for others. I don't think it's any one person's place to put in arbitrary rules that prevent people from wearing what they want because they personally think it looks bad. That's not really what's being discussed here.

I said it earlier in the thread, but I personally prefer the female Dancer gear. That's what I like, that's what I'll most likely use. That doesn't mean I don't want other players to not have access to the male gear if they like it better. Just as you quoted, you don't have to wear gear if you don't like it. You don't have to put the female shirt on a male if you think the male shirt looks better. That sentiment goes both ways.

This is incredibly disappointing. Good to see Square Enix still knows how to drop the ball. Most of the news I see coming out from this expansion makes me less and less excited to play it.

It is one person's place to put in the rule, and that person is whichever dev decides what the artifact gear looks like. I'm giving my feedback that the current gear designs look good on the genders they were designed for. Please don't attempt to silence those who disagree with you.

I will also not put qualifiers such as "in my opinion" into my posts when people with opposing tastes have not done so either.

well that's disappointing to know, i was really hoping that we'd get to show off our midriffs too :<

both sets of dancer gear look great, but it still makes me wish that it was available regardless of which model your character uses, like it was already mentioned before but obviously there'd sill have to be a slight difference for modesty

i think the best example of recent gear with subtle gender differences is the yakaku set

the only changes between these two are how much the bandages are covering up the model's chest as well as the tattoo placement so it doesn't get covered up by the bandages being higher

if we're looking at older gear, then we've got the uraeus set


you know this is making me wonder if the catboy this piece of official art was specifically posed like this because they didn't have to show his midriff off

which kinda funny in a sad way, please stop making these differences, everyone should be able to show as much (or as little) skin as they like

And I'll reiterate again, if it was lost in previous nonsense.
They can easily just not add a bra or wrap, and just cover them with the vest, or Close the gap between the two vest like how the "Dalmascan Drapped Top" is between males and females.

It's sad cause I do love both versions but it just seems "Huh?" when it comes to Pictomancer Male. Was it that wrong to show belly button? They show whole torso with Dancer and other gear so???
