The edited version is shown on the catboy in the 7.0 prelim patch notes, so sadly I think it's actually being released like that.
I hope in the future we can choose to wear the original AF instead of the edited version.
I humbly disagree because I personally think the vest, and consequently the silhouette and general composition, is hideous as is lol. It needed to be broken up in the way the crop manages to actually do.
The male Pictomancer outfit is such a disappointment I might just use my fanta to get the female outfit for reasons unrelated to Hrothgar
I'm glad thety kept the long shirt version, it would look so much better on my male character than cropped like the female version. Just want give my positive feedback to square enix on that.
Then we agree to disagree.
I just feel it needs to just be allowed for players to have access to both.
Adjusting should be it's own topic.
Cause it just defeats the purpose of the thread.
and we won't get people to accept that, if it becomes convoluted and deny others lf things they like.
Many don't care or like the way it is now.
We cannot offer options, to then deny one.
Hence why I believe the Modified Version has no place in a Thread simply about Simply "Removing Genderlock/Providing A Set with the Male/Female Version"
(You can have your modified version elsewhere. or Unofficially. Since it then becomes a matter of taste, not getting rid of the old system/design choice of Genderlocking.)
I still find it odd they do this and in the same patch notes they made the fairy tale costumes gender-neutral. Why not just let us pick our style then? I'm sure some women don't want to show off their belly also.
I think it's relevant, because it's a "minimum necessary adaptation" that flatters each gender without changing the overall impression of the outfit.
The male vest is awkward because it connects up gear that works better with space between the elements of it.
Which already exist in the other thread that was made.
Like said, "Matters of taste are fine" But enough of a number of people have stated that they like the way it is now.
If we let topics get completely convoluted. then people will see it as changing the outfits into something they do not want or like.
Rather than what the thread is about.
Which is offering options, or a alternative set that offers the Male/Female version for either gender.
Not adjusting.
(I don't even have to say, the fact I get a reply when I mention the Adjustments made by players. Means you only are "unhappy" with me stating that. It has no place in this thread. But the other thread that was made for the adjustments you're asking)
