My identity in WoL is based on being a Midland Hyur, having a shaved head, an average dashing figure (no unnatural inner thighs), and not being called at least "she" by others. (To avoid being called "she," I chose to be called "he" by process of elimination. I wish there were more choices for pronouns.)
No matter how much I envy the graphics of female, I can never be a female Midland Hyur.

Yea I was glad to see that even among players who were grateful for the extra coverage, they'd often still mention it'd be nice to choose.

It was interesting to hear players uncomfortable with it from that perspective since I don't view my character as a self-insert. I don't think about "what would I be comfortable with" I think "what would this character be comfortable with", and I have over 14 characters and they all have different personalities that are expressed through glamour. Between so many characters I'd certainly be using both versions regardless of gender for some of them.

The loosened gender restrictions on many crafted/event glamours have been a blessing, but the restrictions that are linked to a single item are a curse that plagues me every time I log in.

I really wish that was an exaggeration for emphasis but I'm getting tired.

It's definitely nice to see that, even if they don't necessarily want certain gendered gear for themselves, there are JP players in favor of other players having the option, which is ultimately all we really want.

For a quick bit of wishful thinking on this subject, I did an edited version of the male dancer top that I think better corresponds to the female version.

I like it! Even reminiscent of the bolero of the ShB Dancer set.

I still absolutely hate the male pants. Even if it had to be covered up, they could've had something more interesting, like how the Etoile set is.

I'm withholding judgement on the pants as an individual item until we can actually see the whole thing. If they have a nice shape and some pretty embroidery then it might be forgivable.

For being part of this overall outfit, though, they seem like an unnecessary substitution when the visible part is so plain that they could easily be swapped out by the player.

This is almost funny. They kept the skimpiness of the shirt across both version, but the holes in the pants were just too much? I don't understand the logic behind this. Admittedly, the version where the diamonds on the pants are edited to be darker than the main color is my personal favorite out of all four designs shown in the picture. But, on principle, I'd prefer that they keep one design across both genders' versions, even if it shows skin.

Yea, for me the top is fine, it's the pants that are a problem.
I do want to see how they look under the leg sleeves but I'll always mourn what could have been shorts.

I'm still bitter about SCH and BLU being deprived of shorts so often.

I think RDM's ShB sets is a great example of this. They don't look like a big deal with the thigh high boots, but when you take them off, the hidden part of the pants is absolutely beautiful with ruffles and bows, and the female version does have this cute lace white stocking.

While I like showing the skin and wish both did it, yes. Darkening it would be a better solution, either show on both, or hide on both. Are Male legs too inappropriate to show?
