Oh they removed them. I will never experience 15 Thunder procs back to back ever again. Sad days ahead.

Honestly... the thundercloud mechanic was kind of near pointless to begin with, having so many options for movement before that. And if you happened to use the proc to move, you could risk your thunder refresh cycle.
But I agree that instead of just deleting it, they could just change Sharpcast to grant a frontloaded insta-cast Thunder instead.
I personally love the idea that Scathe outlived Lethargy, Manawall, Apocatastasis, and now Sharpcast and Thundercloud (and maybe fire and blizzard 2?) purely out of spite.

Ok, my first reaction was "NNNNNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!".
But, it was a skill, that was a option to be cutted.
They removed its use, by including it in the other spells.
I dislike the change with thunder, that you can not use it, as the first attack anymore (i liked it, to attack sometimes first with thunder, to make at last some dot dmg).
But, it looks like, that the basde dmg of thunder was increased to around the double or even more (by the clip i saw, had thunder 120 potency, but, it was stated, that the numbers can changes and im not sure, if that was truly only thunder 1 or allready high thunder). That looks for me, as if whe will allways have around the dmg, of a procced thunder (proc thunder give base dmg +dot dmg + 1 time the whole dot dmg at once).
At last for the moment, does it look like a fair compromise.
Firestarter will now be come 100% with paradox. What make sharpcast useless to. The only part, where its lose is hurting, looks to be in the lower lvl.
Yeah, there was some funny moments with it. But with this changes has the skill become useless (it was fused with the other skills). At last, if the numbers arent so much differently, from what i sdaw in the clip.

they could of scaled back the number of procs that could happen in a min like 6 a min.
Eh, I'd rather just not have the waste of space to begin with. BLM is already extremely bloated and looks to be getting worse going into DT. With 2 sharpcasts you could basically guarantee a firestarter or thundercloud every cycle, sometimes both. But for low level play it's going to suck. BLM is, once again, a class that keeps getting nerfed in lower level content. No more thundercloud at 50. I'm glad it's gone, but BLM needs to have all vestiges of proc mage completely removed, which means the class should finally get an actual leveling experience rework to give its level 60+ and 90+ gameplay all the way down at level 35 or so.
Yeah sure, remove even more procs and rng from the game...
Not that it was truly rng anymore on BLM anyway seeing the amount of sharpcasts you had...
