    I swear lol when I heal I love to you know HEAL but since in dungeons now I mostly encounter WAR well I guess I will spam the one DPS button that I have. I will tell you what I LOVE to heal DRKs holy s-
    the lack of healing they have make my blood as a healer boil and when DPSs get hit at the same time thats even better. Make me feel useful make me sweat from my forhead, make me have an heart attack when you use Superbolide after I used Benediction on you. I don't get this mindset that other healers have that is : I wish my party will be perfect and that I will have to do nothing

    Like at the very freaking least nerf or remove the healing gained from the short cooldowns, Holy Sheltron, Raw Intuition, Bloodwhetting and Heart of Corundum. Like it would be one thing if the long 2 minute mits had it, its not often, but every 25 seconds is just way too freaking much.

    • Give more dps buttons to healers
    • Remove or significantly Nerf most healing skills from tanks and dps
    • Make the party take damage more often

    I'm tired of being told to wait for post-patches and expansions for fixes and increased healing requirements that are never coming. Healers are not fun in all forms of content like all jobs should be, they're replaced by tanks and dps due to low healing requirements and their dps kit is small for 0 reason, when in the past we had more options and handled things just fine. I refuse to play healer in roulette come DT. I refuse to heal EXs, I refuse to go into Savage, and I am boycotting Ultimate.

    The thing is I’m actually fine with this if it wasn’t for the short CD’s. The long 2 minute CD’s should feel super powerful, like they are the tanks equivalents to our expedients and our neutral sects

    It’s the fact that the short mitigations are so disgustingly overpowered buffing of the long CD’s feels bad because the short CD’s already delete healers from the game

    Nerf HS HOC and BW and these changes are totally fine

    As a healer main in this game for nigh on 14 years all I can say is that I’m tired. My role has been eroded of complexity and expression for 3 expansions. I’ve watched the tanks do my role for me for 2 expansions and my feedback and critiques continue to fall on deaf ears.

    I have no idea who modern healers are designed for but I know now it’s not me. This is the first expansion I’m truly considering dropping the healer role and not returning, so if that was the goal- congratulations I guess

    The most sensible thing is to increase the Cooldowns of the three abilities you mentioned. If they do that, it’d be a boon for healers.

    Sorry to say, if you aren't you are playing healers at this point like that...you are most certainly playing the job wrong. Hold with the exception of maybe DK, but that too will change.

    I just find it funny that I called this in other threads but so many ‘assurances’ were made that WAR healing would be gutted…but as I’ve said, buffs over nerfs~.

    I’m having a fun laugh now. Can’t wait for Dawntrail!

    It's hard to comment on healing without understanding how things scale. For example, a 400 potency tank healing effect in the level 91 dungeon accounts for about 8k healing, with max HP being at 118k. The question to ask is how that potency scales with level, and how that holds up against the max HP that you have at the time when you're geared up for the first raid tier. Scaling is why effects like Second Wind have become progressively less impactful with successive expansions.

    You can tell that this is somewhat important because Rampart has new traited buff for incoming heals at level 94, and nearly every job in the game, DPS included, have received traited buffs to their heals at higher levels to prevent this from happening. You'll note that I said 'nearly every job,' because SE rarely issues direct nerfs.

    I note that Bloodwhetting still applies per mob hit rather than per weaponskill used on the Media Tour build. That's still likely to be unbalanced (especially in the initial dungeons), but it will depend on how much tanks are affected by healing scaling changes as they level.
